but you must not forget drogba is on fire on assisting teammates at the moment, unless, we do not care about that smallest of chance, then i would definitely slot torres right in as lone striker.

yes, torres must be high on confidence at the moment, his chances of scoring is higher but i still think its much too early. midfield still dont know the type of ammunition he wants, maybe except for benny.

i still think drogba should start as lone striker flanked by kalou/malouda. i dont think 442 will work unless drogba is willing to play pure second striker. no chance that they are going to become twin strikers in a week. although i hope they prove me wrong tongue.gif

For the next season, please do not sell Drogba. We still need his ability and determination. Now, Ancelotti just need to solve problem how to make Drogba and Torres can pair up together. If this issue settle, Chelsea will be perfect. =)

Just curious is anybody going to a viewing party this weekend? I tried contacting the official Chelsea Supporter's club in M'sia and have been told that they will not be hosting one because its a public holiday and the Modesto's they hang at is closed for a private event?

We can't play 4-4-2 is not because Torres can't play with Drogba, it's that our midfield not used to it. Lampard no freedom to run box-to-box and if Mikel sit back only, Lampard would had be be slightly forward, which makes his late runs useless.
Also we don't have natural width, Malouda don't play at wing now anyways, same as Kalou. Our width is always with Fullbacks.

Ashley bombing forward in last 2 matches has been giving opponent defense a huge pressure.

Malouda-Torres-Drogba
Lampard-Mikel-Ramires
Ashley-Terry-Luiz-Iva
Cech

I believe this can work wonderfully. I wish our forwards can become narrower so more through pass can be made but the only thing I worry is lack of width.
Huge problem. Spurs play their game with full width. Bale, Lennon are all superb wings. We've to deal with this.

cant wait for the next game, i wonder if Carlo will stick with the 433 or will he go for the 442. personally i think we should go with drogba in the 433 first, then sub in torres as usual. i dont think we can jump to the 442 and make it work in a week. besides, tottenham is no lousy team. they will also be aiming to stay in the champions league.

i wouldnt gamble on throwing away our slightest of chances to possibly defend the league title.

yupp good points. the idea of playing didi and nando together is great, but i'm not sure of the timing either. i certainly wouldn't mind didier playing wide right and interchanging with torres, as he's tormented many leftbacks this season with his brute strength and killer crosses..the kind bosingwa should be learning to put in! i think the key here is not letting our midfield getting overwhelmed, so torres and didier have to track back a little. not so keen on 4-4-2 though..i don't think we have the personnel to pull off that formation atm. we've looked very-very loose and disorganised in the middle whenever we've tried it, and good/decent teams will surely punish us.

for me, i say stick the the same game plan for the last 3 games... its given us goals at least 3 and controlling the game...

but i would saz that i respect harry that his tactically is good, just hope he dont read carlo like a book and counter everything we do.

we will see how it goes, but this win and arsenal win is everything. even we win but arsenal draw or lost, sure we are at 2nd place, but can kiss BPL goodbye...
