I am gonna update to Froyo tonight. Wish me luck! It's as easy as downloading from the official site and just follow the onscreen instructions right? Anything I need to do just in case? Backup etc?

I just updated my 2.1 Eclair to the Froyo 2.2 via the Motorola Website for software updates. I can't help but noticed my ROM is used up to the point of having 21 MB out of 340 MB. Is this normal. Should I just accept this as the way of life? Or does this have anything to do with aps installed? Any ways I can save the space some more? Cheers. QUOTE(blackwhitechipsKL @ Jul 8 2011, 04:18 PM) i dunno why you got 21MB...i have about 170MB under system ROM. LoL! Yeah I really need to get me some new bigger memory cards soon. And for tha ROM of mine.. I don't know maybe if I do a factory reset.anyway, first thing when you get a smartphone is, get a minimum 8GB or 16GB microSD. 2GB is a total waste of time, and you will end up changing it anyway. and for those still in eclair...i mean...really? Added on July 8, 2011, 4:19 pmcurrently, Gingerbread is only available with custom ROMs, with MIUI and CM7 being most popular, but there are stock GB ROMs as well, although i seriously recommend using either of the 2. By the way after doing a factory reset now, I should still be at FROYO right? not back to ECLAIR? |

QUOTE(blackwhitechipsKL @ Jul 8 2011, 10:46 PM) not sure la..wasnt on stock froyo. i'm guessing a lot of MOTOBLUR crap. i was on a non-BLUR froyo ROM. never a fan of BLUR stuffs. move to MIUI...you'll love it! or CM7 if you want the pure Android speed and flexibility Totally gonna check it out very soon!
