Hi all,

Just got my Defy last Saturday from Summit Subang.
Build Number: JRDNEM_U3.2.51.1
System version: Blur_Version.2.51.1.MB525.Retail.en.FR
Baseband build Version: EPU93ST2_U_03.0A.01

So I guess it came from french model. Root it immediately that night and installed custom recovery to backup my rom.
Next day I flashed it RSD4.9 to [Naked] French official froyo 2.2.2 taken from XDA. Done..phone worked flawlessly and marvelously!!

Had removed some of the bloatwares plus those blur apps and installed some customised apps, since then my defy is in best possible state..

To Original poster: Please add me to the Defy user statistic here... hahaha!

Last time I used to be the hardcore on Motorola E398, V3i and L7 modding scene... and it's nice to be back to Motorola modding world again!

Great! Thanks!! rclxm9.gif

A few tips I found elsewhere which good to be known for everybody here.
1) If your Defy camera stop auto-focus. You just need to clear cache/data in application management in settings.
2) If your Defy GPS stop from loading or stop searching satellite. You downloaded GPS STATUS & TOOL from market. Run it and clear gps cache/data.
3) If your market stop and unable to download apps. Delete system@app@MarketUpdater.apk@classes.dex in Dalvik folder in /data/dalvik-cache via root explorer follow with reboot phone.

If anyone having issue unable to boot into CWMrecovery.
Please check your USB debugging mode. It should be unchecked.

Data manager reset follow with reboot phone. It will start fresh again.

Just thinking of freezing motoblur

Freezing motoblur or any system apps. But be cautions a wrong step/freezing apps could put your phone from working properly to a dead candy bar.
Using RootExplorer (required root).
1) Goto System/app
2) press read/write on top right corner button to gain full rights
3) look for apps you would like them to stop from your phone.
4) Rename the app you would like to stop... eg: CarDock.apk to CarDock.rem
5) Go on look another app if you have more than one app to stop from running.
6) Exit and that's it.
7) A quick reboot would be good to refresh your phone.

This method doesn't required you to uninstall apps as you might one day need it back.
In case you need them back, just rename back the rem back to apk and restart your phone to get the app run again.
