so far, spec wise (and size wise), the DEFY really value for money lah. was tempted with HTC Incredible S for a moment, but read that battery life is just so so, and also, locked bootloader as well, and at that time, not much dev working on it.

so play play with DEFY longer lor...and really cannot find a phone that can match it's value lah...

I was looking at the possibility of getting the LG Optimus 2X for a while. But with you pushing me over the edge to root and subsequently flashed my Defy, I had forgotten all about the Optimus 2X. It is as if I got a new phone in the form of a rejuvenated Defy. So my phone buying binge can slow down for now. tongue.gif

p/s: By the way, how to do 3G Hotspot tethering now with CM7 B6 ah? Have to find another app in the market to do this now? Used to have a motorola app included with phone (even in the leaked froyo 2.2 have it) to enable 3G Hotspot sharing. Now don't have already. blush.gif

if the Defy has a camera quality like the iphone, then it's really the perfect phone. somehow android's cameras are all shitty...and iphone does a damn good job on the camera. low light quality (without flash) still can get nice ones. android = really no good, even take other apps and do also, so so only

doesn't say anything about it lah...just because it's expensive doesn't mean it's good! SGS2 don't have a good camera, and LG Revolution...well, frankly speaking, nothing great. the write up in anandtech still dont give the iphone camera a fight.

the hallmark of a good camera is taking photo in low light environment without a flash, and yet can take a sharp pic and still get enough details, and not much noise. probably the camera gurus can tell you this as well. all cameras can probably take a good picture in a brightly lit area, no matter how lousy. flashing makes the whole picture washed out

if on stock motoblur, go menu, setting, data manager,
can off the data there, just left that background data ON for email, calendar, contacts sync.

the safest way to fix this is,
go menu, setting, wireless, mobile networks, Access Point, and see those Celcom 3G bla2,
just open and rename those celcom3g to celcom3gXXXX and menu, save

repeat on the other 2 or 3

so u will not accidentally connected to 3G.
(save ur moneh)

or just open tis

My Defy s'pore set has been sent for warranty(earpiece defect) for nearly 1 month, and this is what I get:

"We are sorry for the inconvenience this has caused you. Please be advised that the phone repair is still in process. For your reference, I have provided the repair case number below:
Repair Case Number: 1-369079070"

I am very disappointed with Motorola mad.gif

Why is that they need 1 month(or more?) to get the stupid defected earpiece fixed!!! vmad.gif
