but as for MIUI, titanium kinda works weird when wanna restore back setting and apps..
(got report that u wil get lots of FC after restoring with titanium )
ur mileage might vary..

as for contact should be no problem..
they auto sync with Gmail.
no need to backup.

SMS backup can use SMS backup from market
same as call log backup.

both got quite good review.

download official SEA 15 rom and RSD lite 4.9 (link at page one or that i post before this)
and required driver

then turn off phone. turn on in recovery mode. (vol down+power), wipe data all
then turn off phone. turn on in fastbootmode. (vol up+power)

fire up ur RSD lite, choose that rom ( extract 1st) press start and go coffee time
10 min come and see ur new phone

use wat apps to backup?

titanium pro do it just once only ma

better update/flashing using RSD Lite.
wipe all in recovery mode ( vol down=power)
then just power on by( vol up+ power), fire up RSD Lite, choose sea.sbf, press start.

works all time

HOW TO UPGRADE WITH FULL SBF FILE
__________________________________________________

1. Download FULL SBF, Install USB Driver and RSD Lite
- USB Driver for Windows 32 bit, for 64 bit.
- RSD Lite 4.9

2. Create a Backup:
- Create backup of sms, apps+settings, etc, so it can be restored on this new official Froyo

3. Erase Data and Cache [MUST DO! SERIOUSLY, YOU MUST DO THIS!]
- Turn of your phone,
- Press and hold Power+Vol.down until android logo appears
- If you previously on Eclair, press right bottom corner of the screen to get the menu
- If you previously on other Froyo build, press Vol.up+Vol.Down simultaneously to get the menu
- Navigation button: Vol.up and Vol.down | Action button: Eclair, use the touchscreen. For Froyo, use power button.
- Do Wipe Data, wait until it's done
- Then Do Wipe Cache, wait until it's done
- Choose Reboot system, BUT IMMEDIATELY JUST AFTER YOU choose reboot, press and HOLD Vol.Up for 5 seconds and release
- You are now on bootloader

4. Flashing the SBF File to Your Device:
- Open RSD Lite 4.9 from your computer desktop shortcut, then click browse button [...] to open the SBF file
downloaded files usually is .7z or .rar, PLEASE extract it first to open
if your computer can't open SBF files, try to shorten the SBF filename, and don't put it on folder, try put it on outside like D:\ or E:\
- Connect USB cable to your device, if it's the first time to flash SBF file, WAIT untill all the drivers properly configured
- In RSD Lite 4.9 window will recognize your device, it will says connected. If don't, try to pull cable and plug it again until it's connected.
- Click Start button, wait the process, it takes 7-10 minutes
- When all is done and ready, RSD Lite status will shows "Finished" and Result="PASS"
- You are on official South East Asia Froyo 2.2.2!!

this one consider very easy edy.

just 4 step ony..

1. boot in recovery (vol down+power).. wipe data cache.. turn off
2. boot in download mode or what ever its called.. (vol up+power)
3. open RSD lite 4.9, choose downloaded SEA ROM above.. and press start.
4. go make some coffee and some cookies..

simple rite..
(our phone almost impossible to bricked.. thanks to locked Motorola bootloader. Blessing in disguise rite )

its chinese signed but of course its will start in English..
but should be able to run in chinese.

but we flashing it only as a base before switch to MIUI rite

nope.. no need root.
coz we will start root it on 2.2
lets make u safely switch to 2.2 1st.

then all wil be too easy after that.
10 more minutes to go

yups..

should be fine.. just dont forget to wipe all 1st..

i see..

try rooted 1st with superoneclick on page 1.
works for me all the time.

and exactly 360MB when extracted to .sbf

other than this, u might stuck at M logo or endless looping cycle

then shutdown.. ( pull batt )

start again in download mode ( vol up+power)
flash again 360MB SEA.sbf

of coz la from 100 go to 90..
coz if u not install battery_step.zip
(take from MIUI 1.6.10 page i think..)

it will drop by 10%
like 100 then straight to 90 lo..

and.. yup.
3G really suck ur battery like

to optimize power use.

1. set wifi policy to never off
2. set mobile network to 2G only
3. download SetVsel and try lowered ur voltage to lower value

just download market enabler from market.
then long click on any US carrier..( t Mobile works for me)
and apply only.
then youtube "magically" appear on market

hi all..
long time no replying in this awesome tered
kinda bz and m phone gib me lots of headache these 2 weeks.
its all happen after i change to DNA 16GB class 10 SD.
lots of data corruption. phone hangs and need to pull out battery.
opening gallery also delay like s***.copying file from PC sometime end up with super slow speed or fast 17MBs copying half finish then hang.


then see forumers @xda also have this same problem.
with different brand of sdcard also but all is 16GB Class 10.
so anyone thats thinking to upgrade sdcard should noted this problem.

mybe TS can put this reminder @ front page also.

so far battery life not bad la. at least its match with stock battery.
yesterday use a bit, cit cat , 7am till 10pm also still 40% .. so it survived my working day. without 3g of course
