You can get a pair of bookshelf but i don't think with that budget u manage to add another woofer which make it into 2.1 system, unless settle with pc speakers..

Hemm well Esi nEar 04 is an active speaker, and it's a monitoring speaker, better audit it b4 buying it whether you like the sound signature or not. Or else you want to get those passive one (and most of them are passive), then again you'll need an amplifier..

For around that price, well a lot ppl suggest wharfedale diamond 9.1. If i'm not mistaken there's quite a new used unit for sale in garage sales But gotta raise budget for the cable and amp
