pardon me being newbie i this thread.

actually i am not new in this HiFi world. My 1st system consist of Pioneer PSD703 + Audiolab 8000 (Mark2) +TDL RTL3 and thats way back in 1994 and after 8 years with them i have to let them go due to some financial difficulties.

So now I wanna get back to HiFi world and i dont know where to start. The budget is around 3k for a start (CD player,Amp,speakers). I am into Pink Floyd/Dire straights kind of music. My preference would be bookshelf speakers & active subwoofer ( it can be sattelite speakers too ), so would like to ask for any suggestion??

all suggestion are welcome. I dont mind 2nd hand item as long as it's in great condition.

do u know how difficult to get that audiolab back then. pity me i have to depart with it...
