Im getting a new sony bravia 46" X series... But now wondering what hifi system to match with it..

I see Sony have lots of Hifi theater system.. but not sure how each of them performs...

I prefer Sleek design. of course with good sounds. 1 thing i like to point out is my mum loves karaoke.. I notice that nowadays surround theather system cant support or not as good as for Karaoke.. any suggestion?

Seriously, U mean for a good karaoke system u need to allocate 6-7 k !!! If that's the case my mum will sure say want to bring her 20 years old Pioneer bulky speaker n amplifier to our new house...

I dont understand why is the surround theather system cannot be use for karaoke..? Can I just add an amplifier (donno wat it called...those adjusthing microphone volume+ echo those system) to the theather system and wooalla can play??

THEATER SYSTEm VS KARAOKE SYSTEM

my mum love singing and all this while we have this 4 pieces bulky 20 years old PIoneer Speaker in the house with the equalizer + another dono wat to adjust microphone+ echos.

Now we want to move house, and we thought of getting a theather system... those sleek 4 surround sound speakers from sony.. But only to realise that they doesnt work as Karaoke (not as good)

Any to recommend if we wan to enjoy BOTH? So far from Sony ppl recommend me FXG99k THE LETHAL SAMURAI EXPERIENCE. They say this can be good for karaoke...but im not too sure of it..

Wat would u guys recommend?

Please recommend me a set up for my Living room + dining area.

Purpose: Mainly playing music like Bossa Nova/ instrumental to fill up the area with lounge-feel. Will use it to watch tv as well, and playing some games on it occasionally. Hardly will watch movie at home..(prefer to go cinema)
Budget: rm 2000. Adjustable.. but cannot be until 4-5k range.

Requirement: I am actually looking for something that can easily fill up the Living room/ dining area without sounding noisy. Thing that best avoid is example: I am sitting at living room sofa listening to my Hifi next to my TV. My gf talk to me in the dining/ dry kitchen area.. and I cannot hear her properly until I need to lower down the volume so much that it becomes pointless to have a good hifi. Or she finds the music "noisy" when she is not within the coverage of the hifi. Currently this happens a lot when I am working in front of my pc (inside study room with door open) while playing my music on my 2.1 pc speakers. And she talks to me from outside and I cant hear her. Or most of the time, she will wants me to lower down the volume...(I am not blasting the music i swear Just loud enough for me to hear every tiny bit of instruments) Apparently the music becomes "noisy" when people are outside of the range. This is what I want to avoid most when installing the hifi system in the living room.

I want the sound to be comfortable enough to chitchat, and same time able to enjoy the music.. Living area until dining area... medium Condo size. A good example will be a cafe/lounge. My thought will be.. I cannot be getting a 2.1 system? Instead I need to have multiple Satellite Speakers, mounting on the ceiling all over the living room and dining area... Is this the way to go?
