QUOTE(nocar @ Mar 2 2008, 03:05 PM) i'm thinking of selling my oldies hifi stuff. anyone knows the market price for the stuffs below: 1. Micromega Stage1 CD Player - bought in 1996. Still in running condition with the CD transport replaced in 2004. 2. Arcam Alpha6+ Amplifier - bought in 1996. Still in running condition - nothing being changed. 7 years ago I sold off my Micromega Stage 2 for around 1K. I did advertised the Micromega in Star Audiofile years back for rm1k but most replies coming from overseas. The postage cost is a killer for them! So now back in the future.... i dunno the price to quote you guys . btw, I bought it for GBP550! It comes with the ori remote control that can control the Arcam as well. Thanks to all that PM me.

The Micromega, in my opinion, is the sexiest CDP ever especially when you turn it on. I bought it brand new for GDP450 (when it first came out) and later upgraded it to stage 2 for another GDP150. YGAPM BTW

Did you know that it was designed by the dude from Mark Levinson? Too bad about the reliability though Fusion, wanna talk business?

Need to change the CD transport first if it is still use the standard Philips CDM10 transport. Get the recent Philips CDM10.1 for replacement and you are going to live happily ever after. Err... why noone asking about my Arcam amp huh?

Yes it is true the dude from ML has parts to do with micromega. Sadly, micromega stage(s) have had many unfavorable reviews....ie mostly software issues and skipping. Really a nice looking player, supposedly memorizes the whole disc this to be better at fast changes through the cd. Would be nice for a transport though As for the stage 5 bro.....it is the sellers choice to price.....if someone really wants it sure bet it will sell Surely to get bites if priced a lil more better. Just my 2 cents worth of thoughts Happy not voting lol......

Just audition the Opera prima 1.5 driven with just the cheapo soundstage 1.5 tubeamp. The musicality is unending and the bass reaches where the heart beats. Janis Ian - guess you had to be there really sings and rings. I really wonder why the speaker so small can have such musicality output inc bass. so felt in love but not the price.

Have to be cautious!.. there was some speculation their demo amplifier is souped/upgraded/modded to give offer better performance compared to stock. You may not get the same sonics from a new set. Disclaimer: No malice here. This was somewhat a dated rumor. Your money, your call.

Looks like Tong Lee is famous for fishing the customers. I suspect what u say is correct. The bass of Opera 1.5 can not be so deep as compared to subwoofer. I could feel the sofa beats with bass. I will go and check one more time, this time I will bring my soundstage amp. Can I know how much u bought the Monitor audio Bronze ( is it BR2)? and where?

Bring your current amp to the shop for demo if you want to demo speakers.... if and only if your amp is less than 20kg!
Huh... a self confessed naim fetish is spotted! hehehe...

I read review that the Opera 1.5 uses double magnet. the driver is 130mm and so may be it can beat with bass.

Hi, can recommend bookshelf speaker + speaker stand for me and also an amp to go with it. Prefer a 2.1 system.
Budget about 2000 ish not include the speaker stand. Planning to use with pc by connect pc optical out to amp. (i was told this is how they do it)
Thanks.

Yep. Not many people have heard a properly set up Naim system. Once they have, there's no turning back. And not everyone knows how to set up a Naim..
