not all banana plug leave such a big gap but for Airloc i think they do. and i recall they are very tight plugs.

We cant tell you which is better cos it all depends on your taste. If you can, you should audition. Preferably with songs you are familiar with and same songs.

I have auditioned your 2/7 before, i loved it. I heard it with Audio Research gears at the time. Hope you dont mind me chime in a bit. i do agree with the other bros that Marantz 6004 is under powered to drive a 2/7 properly. However, done correctly, it can be fantastic.

Different people have different taste, to some people, Dynaudio is considered slow, but to others, its just right Personally i like Dynaudio Contour S1.4 the best over Confidence series. I am fortunate enuf to have audited many Dyns own by my fren.

Yes, never rush, take time with ur current set. Take time to get used to it and familiar with the sound before you upgrade. In your case, listen to your new amps, let them run in, get familiar with them, then decide whether you want to upgrade or not from there.

Which Guarneri you are looking at? I googled and seem to be a few model of that series. Perfect Hifi is their dealer. I have listened to Grand Piano a few years ago. Very nice but sound signature is different from Dynaudios.


Yes, ur right, ive been dreaming of better amps and the Contour S1.4 since buying my DM 2/8. Budget doesnt allow at this time for any upgrades and i dont have a dedicated room which for them to shine to their true potential too.

Just for sharing, i have DM2/8 and Audience 122. Amp im using NuForce IA7 V2 but i was told was upgraded to V3 but im not sure which V it actually is.
