Our company did an exhibition last week, there is this competitor i think who is a bit over. I specially made ​​this comparison list to ask: is this a real promotion? or some dirty tricks? Does this company Brand 'D' deceptive to consumers? Well, on the other hand you can see we are doing a Genuine promotion of limited quantity for those who visit us during the 4-days event... please, i need some comments and suggestions.

Wow...that's an exorbitant price. Rm3000 for 10' x 5' gate...lol.
Nowadays there's many ways people trying to pull the crowd and this is one of the example. I never ever trust any promotion running by these peoples as I believe nothing comes cheap unless if they want to clear the lousy stocks or the items that deemed to be low quality. Go for the reliable shop and pay for reasonable price, not cheap price as you get what you are paying for.

no comment on brand D..........but your price not cheap either and your are promoting "grills.my" here indirectly

i just have my wrought iron main gate installed, size 16'(L) x 6'-7.5'(ht), folding with SS track, conceal bracket for 3600, auto gate another 1400. total 5k for big gate minus the 10 years warranty....but why do i need 10years warranty for steel gate 10 years warranty on auto gate is better lar

the thing is RM3000 is cheap and attractive price for a set of gate (...of course with many hidden cost afterwards). Their tactics is to lure customer in and start "talking". The other one priced at RM5888 for a bigger gate - full features, no hidden cost. Just like to warn consumers not to fall for it for they are not familiar with how auto-system + gate installation works.

So?

yeah, i mentioned in a few parts of reno thread. There are many competitors out there using dirty tricks to close deals. Offer u super low prices then tell u delivery nd $$, this n that nd $$. WHen u add up everything it is more expensive.

To avoid all kena con, it would b best to buy from a reputable shop

Bro, it's very kind of you to alert and warn people. But the fact is the consumers are indeed totally clueless about auto-system + gate installation works. In fact we are totally clueless when come to items that rarely happens to our lives. How do people familiar with built-in wardrobe with the super duper anti jam system? what is a soft close of your kitchen cabinet? what is the difference between grundfos vs other brand? or even the numerous system of internal and external water filtering system? then you got alarm system, you want it with CCTV? CCTV with stand alone recorded or packaged into a pc? what about viewing online or monitoring system (ADT)?

Bro, you really can't blame people going for the RM3000 gate because as a normal consumer we just don't know in detailed all this kind of things. So it's very likely that from time to time innocent people fall into trap. To prevent this, I will ONLY go for recommentation.

Well both the same. Grill.MY even asked for full payment if want to have the 5888 promotion and after payment you only could get the stock after 3 months as part of T&C, I guess it is more risk if the company ran away and we not even could sue it.
As for the Company "D", yes if is lower the price but I beleived end of the day it still will show the full bill to customer and customer should review before sign up...
End of day, both also try to get business lol

if the person see this quotation ..still going for it...what u expect...they prefer pay more...u cant said unethical...some ppl sell 6 feet bar counter at 4000,some ppl sell at 2000,some ppl sell at 10k...so,how u judge that?no offence...just let you know...the main is.who close the sales...who just the better tactics?who is the winner..thats all..

I guess the scenario is like this.
Company D advertise AUto Gate RM 3,000 while grille.my advertise Auto Gate RM 5,888. Since company D is cheaper, consumers will just walk to Company D and purchase the auto gate. THey would assume that the additional charges for installation, wiring , backup battery and etc are standard and should be the same for every company. Without going to grille.my and compare the total amount payable, consumers would not know that grille.my is actually cheaper.

But is it unethical? No. It's just marketing gimmick.
However, that being said; if the said company didn't disclose the full details of those "extra charges" when doing their sales pitch, then it's unethical. But if they did, then no; it's not unethical.

Try go shop for computers or laptop or any electrical; same gimmick.

No frills it's called. Like Airasia. You pay for exactly what you get.

Actually this is also the same thing as Lawyers Legal Fees. So, forumers who are buying a new house, make sure to check the full list of items payable to your lawyer
