Just had a chance to play with UMobile UMI. Very impressed with the speeds in Puchong. The following is using my phone as a WiFi AP: 5.35Mbps! However when on phone the speed not so impressive. In Puchong, speeds at first was about 0.5Mbps, then increase to 1.8Mbps max: It's worse when in Broga, Semenyih. The bottom 3 results are in Broga: 0.03 and 0.02Mbps. lol. Pathetic speeds. So far very satisfied with UMobile, but only in cities. Kampung totally hopeless. This post has been edited by DJFoo000: Oct 22 2011, 06:53 PM

QUOTE(hebe87 @ Oct 21 2011, 02:18 PM) After porting to other telco, if you are unable to receive TAC from Maybank2u.com, you need to call up the Maybank customer service line and let them know that you have recently MNP. Their technical team will solve the problem for you, usually within 3 days (up to 2 weeks). I tried it before. XOX still cannot receive TAC maybank

Guys, places like kajang, nilai, does it have 3G connection ?
And btw, 5 cents / mb , so 100 mb = RM5 , 500 mb is RM 25 , isnt it cheaper than the RM28 ? So for those who doesnt exceed 500 mb it's better not to subscribe for the RM28 internet package.

So for those who doesnt exceed 500 mb it's better not to subscribe for the RM28 internet package. Depends on your usage pattern. I suspect every time you engage 3G for data it's 5 sen even if zero kb used. You might not gain by leaving it on all the time because the system drops then swaps in and out of 2G/Edge unexpectedly, and incoming calls, SMS cause disruptions. Each switch-on is another 5 sen. So RM25 spent might give you far less than 500mb. Each time when there is a switch, be it 3g/2g switch or you switch from packet data to use wifi, 5 cents will be deducted if you are under Pay Per Use plan.
I tested my usage for 3 days now. Emails, light browsing and a little chat on viber, my account was deducted $2.5 in total despite leaving packet data on round the clock for 3 days.
This is the right plan for me cuz I can further reduce my usage by using TM wifi while at home. If you download a lot, then better take unlimited plan
