Yes. Based on the roaming agreement between UM and celcom, celcom allows UM users to roam on their 2G (GPRS/EDGE) network only. This post has been edited by hebe87: Nov 5 2011, 08:20 PM

QUOTE(soul2soul @ Nov 5 2011, 08:48 PM) Did you receive any sms from U mobile or your current telco? If not, you should have refer to the service agent/service centre that did MNP for you. Usual events in the MNP process 1. Once UM receive your MNP application, they should send a sms to you telling that they have received your application and are working with the MNP. 2. After that, few hours/mins before you are transferred to UM, you will receive sms from both UM and your current telco that you will be MNP-ed any time and if no more signals from your current sim card, change UM sim card. 3. Last sms, welcome message from UM and good bye message from your previous service provider. |

QUOTE(Darkmage12 @ Nov 6 2011, 03:36 PM) Ya, they are having 42mbps at certain area. The problem is, not every single device/smartphone can support speed up to 42 mbps.. Most smartphones nowadays support download speed up to 10mbps, while usb modem 7.2mbps.42mbps modem is not cheap.. off topic: digilife is reliable MNP agent here.. highly recommended |

QUOTE(Quantum_thinking @ Nov 9 2011, 08:30 PM) Today i was about to MNP my Digi number out, but when i asked the guy, he told me about this. Otherwise, I am gonna remember his face FOREVER since i got RM200 plus credit in my Digi number DUE TO THE BIRTHDAY TOP UP LAST TIME.... i think digi is aware of the current situation (many digi prepaid customer mnp to UM). So they have amend the rules for share a top up.. if i'm not mistaken, digi easy prepaid is not allowed to transfer their credit balance to other mobile number, while digi best prepaid plan allow transfer of RM40 each MONTH only.. do check it and see if i'm wrong*edited RM40.. Because in between u have got 5 connections. even though no data used for that particular 5 connections, you will still be charged.
Better turn off your phone's mobile internet or just change to unlimited data plan. |

QUOTE(kob3bryant @ Dec 2 2011, 10:26 AM) i faced the same problem of OTP(one time password) or OTC(one time transaction code) with maybank2u and UOB internet banking also. But my OCBC IB works perfectly. Having a big issue here after i ported into U. I had this experience before. Just call the customer service line, tell them that you have just changed telco/mobile service provider recently, and request them to forward your case to their technical/Internet banking team. Usually it can be solved within 1-3 working days. (customer service will give the 'standard' answer of the problem will be solved within 2 weeks.)I have tried to register at MBB atm by keying the same number again, it x work at all. any advice? |

To clarify the terms:
Unlimited - No extra charges no matter how much bandwidth you use FUP "Fair usage policy" - Upon reaching certain quota/if you are heavy user, telco reserves their right to throttle/manage your speed |

Noted since 1 month ago can roam on maxis 2g network already. Base on my own network search
Umobile2g = celcom 2g (provides edge speed) U Mobile = Maxis 2g (provides gprs speed only) means after this we will be roaming on maxis 2g, with gprs speed only? this is sad... |
