I have no idea how to check the balance of free SMS I got from M2U and 7-11 top-up. But my credit isn't being deducted when I SMS so at least it's real.

Anyway, anyone else got an SMS from U Mobile today? I was told that once I renew my Unlimited Internet RM28 on 8/8, I will get 90 free SMS. This is as opposed to the usual 30 free SMS.

I got so many free SMS now... dunno what to use it for lol.

free call is per day (umobile - umobile), not per hour:

You will enjoy 1 day of free local U Mobile to U Mobile voice calls for every top-up of RM1. For example, when you recharge RM5 you will get free calls for 5 days from the date of your recharge. If you recharge another RM10 on the same day or on another day, you will get free calls for another 10 days from the expiry date of the last free calls given. However, the maximum free calls will not exceed 150 days. “U Mobile to U Mobile voice calls” means voice calls made from a U Mobile customer to another U Mobile customer.

If you have any free voice calls from another U Mobile promotion, they will be deemed to be used first followed by the free calls given under this Promotion.

very disappointed with umobile prepaid plan.

1. deduct my credit for no reason

2. 1st time call to customer service admitted that is their technical issue. the lady say they will refund before my expiry date. So i'm being nice and i trusted her and waited almost 1 month.

3. now almost until my expiry date they never refund back my credit

4. 2nd time call to customer service and they accuse me that i renewed for the unlimited internet twice. hence it was deducted. argue for almost 10 minutes. then only the customer service admitted that they having technical difficulties during that period.

5. 3rd time they provide me a case ID and it seems i have to wait forever to get my missing credit. what the..

6. i never exceeded 500mb nor seldom using any of the free call / sms. what for i renew the unlimited internet twice

it probably means the U Mobile 3G signal is weak where you are at

set your phone to UMTS/3G only under Network Settings/Mode

however, after doing that, if there is no U Mobile 3G signal at your location, your phone will not be able to make/send calls, sms or go online

sim card registration could still be network problem with Home Location Register

this happen before with U Mobile when they had a meltdown on a working day last year, after which they gave us all free sms for one day for three months

last time I checked, U Mobile TnC did not say anything about grace period so in theory they could terminate your line if you did not top up before expiry date

however, some people here reported there is 90 days grace period

i got one spare U Mobile sim with expiry date 20/03/2012 and still active today

so i think your line still got chance, and i would keep trying or contact U Mobile

call 018-3881318 and ask them abt it as UM's system have problems these few days, dun worry u should get your number back if u have proof to show, or else complain to SKMM/MCMC

next time ask for his/hers superior and ask for his/hers name so that that noob knoe that u can lipot him if he sucks in handling your case
