If I take UMI 18, is the validity only for internet usage only? meaning do I have to reload credit each month?
*
QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Oct 30 2013, 08:58 AM)
Line validity is from your reload. If you reload RM30 you get 90 days.

The UMI validity is for the internet/free calls/free sms.
*
yup correct RM 10 last 30 days, RM 30 last 90 days for CALLS AND SMS

while UMI package only last 30 days, which means after 30 days usage of the UMI, you stick to your remain validity of your CALLS and SMS, but internet going to charge RM 0.1 /mb once UMI package expired and not renewed cool2.gif

Got sauce? All I can find is that they will be throttled down according to this so called fair usage policy. Didn't state it's 64kbps though.
*
yup they did mention 64kbps before cool2.gif

Let's say I activate new SIM on 1st Jan with reload of RM20. That will give me validity until 30/31 Jan. balance rm20 + 5 (from SIM)

After that didn't use the phone.

On 10 Jan , buy UMI 18 which will give me until 8/9 Feb usage plan.

No more reload. So on 5 Feb, is my line still active? Given that I did not reload

Sorry if the question sounds foolish or confusing
*
make it clear that when you register and reload RM 20 means you got 2 months validity even though u just got 30 days for the UMI 18 or MBDAY for 1 day, your validity follow with the amount you TOP UP

then i tried reload using cimbclicks and it was successful...wanted to ask your opinion,if i use the reload from m2u now, will the validity period extend to another 3 month,or will it just overlap the validity?
*
overlap, only FRIENDI telco allow extension on the credit reload, others all overlap

Guys,

If i do not top up for 90 days, will the number be terminated? I think U mobile have slightly longer period of passive mode.

Please let me know ya. Thanks.
*
YUP terminated after 90days of validity

there are problems that lots of customer still able to call and sms after active validity, but still advised to top up after a period

UM just need to make its 3G better at abt 10mbps would b enough, no need LTE cause only cities can enjoy them.

Make every town have good access to 3G would be fine.

QUOTE(boonseng @ Dec 1 2013, 02:07 PM)
hi guys, i have decided to port over to umobile.
however, im using maxis postpaid (supplement line)
therefore, i went to maxis to "split account" make mine to become main account, then i go to umobile to register. Umobile smsed me saying that "porting has been denied" !?
so i called maxis service center, they say by monday they can split the account for me.
So my question is do i need to travel to umobile center again? quite a hassle for me TY!
*
you are porting from maxis to Umobile prepaid or umobile postpaid ?

u may just call umobile to retry your SUBMISSION on monday once maxis had done updated ur profile

u can easily check it by log in MAXIS selfcare with your number whether u are a single MAIN LINE , and available to port out to any telco anytime

or u may call umobile to cancel the MNP application and apply another new 1 with any of us here to enjoy further benefit of discount brows.gif

*
yup, correct, u still can't manage to get such speed with other telco prepaid plans (i mean all telco is under full coverage) only maxis and umobile are faster

i've used all telcos before and to my surprise, umobile the best prepaid pack for me.

have been in all peninsular, most of the time got full bar with 3G network.

Wish umobile can provide LTE soon.
*
if u still wish to have most 3g network around with Umobile better don hope to get LTE soon

it is always a best on 3g better than poor on both 3g and 4g
