QUOTE(remysix @ Nov 4 2006, 12:32 PM) ram set at 2x multiplier... when increasing clock... voltage also must increase... therefore creating more heat... so it's best to know bout the highest clock at stable cond and temp... on stock hardware...and disable all those EIST, Virtual blabla, etc why dun u set ur vcore to 1.35v and then push the clock to 400x7=2.8g...see how, run dual spi 32m, and if ok, up the clock summore to 3ghz...then run spi 32m again... btw, r u on stock hsf and make sure to put a fan blowing the NB...it WILL be really hot good luck edited: oh ic the title mentioned stock hsf... i'll be changing the NB ompound and i usually leave my casing open and let the wind blow from my standing fan... mine everything in stock... juz changed the clock... mem multiplyer set to auto and so r the voltages... i not spending any money for better sinks and fans cuz i think not worth yet... my GC no fan so heat build up inside... i put the CM 8cm fan to blow my GC which is suppose to blow the HDD... and y must disable those EIST and virtual bla bla bla...? BTW... my temp in HW monitor shows 26 when starting and 35 when i restart after playing games... currently Dawn of War Dark Crusade... heavy 1... QUOTE(MaGicDust @ Nov 7 2006, 08:32 AM) Maybe I can help you out a bit as I'm using the same spec, DS4 (Burned a hole in my pocket!!!) + e6300 Week 29... tat's impressive...I guess my proc is surprisingly good at OCing... I'm doing 450x7 at stock vCore (1.225V) set in BIOS even though CPU-Z and Everest shows it's only at (1.19ishV)... gmch:+0.1 pcie:+0.0 fsb:+0.1 Using PC6400 OCZ Platinum 4-5-4-15 @ 2.1V and Arctic Freezer Pro 7 (Using SmartFan, didn't on full blast cause too noisy) My idle temp is at 45-48C... Full load on both cores using intel TAT is 62C Max... This is 24/7 in air-con room... Btw, does upping PCI-E voltage help to oc CPU or GPU? |

QUOTE(MaGicDust @ Nov 9 2006, 10:40 PM) Hehehe... Sorry guys for the confusion... I know that 1.225V is not stock... But that's why it is automatically set by the mobo, as far as for mine... Sorry hm... weird... i use stock HSF but vcore still stock... nvr undervolt... BTW my clock has changed... autoconfig voltage wif F6 bios... Btw, I'm curious that does ur DS4 set the voltage to 1.225 at default? I'm using Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro, lapped with Arctic Cooling MX1 thermal paste which came with the cooler... Maybe that helps a little. Btw, the bottom fins of the HSF is also angled a bit towards the mobo, might help a little to blow air towards the mofsets... |

QUOTE(MaGicDust @ Nov 10 2006, 10:54 PM) Yeah, I'm running F6 all this while... Left it at Auto, so it is set at 1.225V and it's very stable, loaded both cores with TAT for 24hrs... So what is your vCore atm? The F6 BIOS automatically undervolt the proc? no wor... surprisingly it's at normal vCore which is 1.325V... will do further testing... Gigabyte juz gets better and better than ever... |

QUOTE(MaGicDust @ Nov 13 2006, 08:24 PM) Very strange then... Don't know why my mobo undervolt my processor at default :S. But never mind lar... At least it's good in a way, can reduce heat careful though... it might not be real time... i would try other software if i were u to confirm the vCore... if it's real, u r 1 of the luckiest OC'er... i checked mine wif CPU-Z and mine is at 1.325... |

My GC bottleneck my performance or memang like tat...? I don dare to OC my GC cuz no fan although I put 2 casing fan to blow it... temp according to my Forceware is 48... |
