higher fsb strains more on ur mobo than processor... this is a good way of finding ur fsb wall, and yes, high fsb with lower multiplier is better than high multiplier with lower fsb... dats bcos ure making the mobo, and ram run at a higher speed... one of the mobo that has the highest fsb wall is biostar tpower i45.... easily 600fsb, world record is 700fsb biggrin.gif

does all x58 mobos have same DRAM frequencies or different mobos differ in frequencies? also, if i'm using a 1600mhz 8.8.8.24 ram can i go above that frequency?

by right, u shud look at the proc itself, since the memory controller is in it... i7 natively supports ddr3-1066, any higher is considered overclocking liao biggrin.gif

edit: u have to look at the mobo's QVL to see whether your ram is supported or not smile.gif

can suggest any of them?
btw i'm a student,didnt touch oc b4,my budget rm300(mobo+hsf?/hsf use on stock1?)

u can get a normal mobo with that budget, therefore, ur chances of overclocking to high freq is quite low biggrin.gif
