I just happen to grab an E2140, Gigabyte P35-S3L with KVR Hynix chips @ 8 x 390 with memory divider set to "2.00".

What do you guys normally set the memory divider to? Always 1:1 or higher?

ah_khoo, I can't remember but I'll check again tonight. I only manage to play with it for 2-3 hours yesterday.

What's 2.5? Is it 3:2 or 5:4? Which one is faster - 2.00 or 2.5?

The numbers are indeed confusing. Anyone knows how to decrypt and map it to standard memory divider numbers? sad.gif

ah_khoo, thanks and I'm running on 2.00 so in a way, yours should be faster if you're doing it at 2.5 smile.gif Maybe I should try that as well.

Btw, how about the other optimization settings like "Extreme", etc. Do you set everything to the max?

ah_khoo, thanks and I'll try it out further tonight and post some screenshots/benchmarks. I'm still new to all these so lots of guidance from the pros like you are very much appreciated smile.gif

Btw, I also share the same LCD as you do, lol.

Apologize for that ah_khoo but I really do think you guys are more knowledgable than me. I didn't know you still remember this old man biggrin.gif

Btw, what is your Vdimm, FSB, NB voltages for your overclock?

I'm running ORTHOS at 8 x 400 @ 1.375Vcore but CPU-z and Core Temp is not reporting the Vcore correctly. Is this a normal behaviour?

Btw, my full load temp is at 69C now. I think it's time to replace that stock cooler smile.gif

I have the same darn cold boot problem. Btw, what Vcore do you guys run at on 3.0-3.2Ghz range?

I set my Vcore as 1.387 but in CPU-Z, it varies between 1.328 - 1.344
I'm now running at 395 x 8 with full load temps around 66-68C (stress testing with Orthos)

One good thing about this Intel chip is that if you're idling or doing something simple that doesn't stresses the CPU that much, the temp drops a lot (as low as 36C)

I hope I could hit 3.2Ghz soon biggrin.gif

Hmm, interesting.
Well, I guess I made it to 3.2Ghz @ 1.40675v
The temperature is a sad thing to mention tho'. I either get a good HSF or a water block.

Yeah, I think it's a good choice to spend on the custom phase change as opposed to a water cooling set smile.gif I'm more concerned about the reliability of the phase change instead.

Hey guys, can some of you share what's the maximum FSB, voltage and timing you manage to achieve with your Hynix FP-Y5? I have been running it at 395x8 @ 2.40 (5:6) which means literally, it's running at 474. The timings are 15-5-5-5 and I have to bump hell lot of Vdimm to it sad.gif

ah_khoo, unfortunately I need 2.3V to get it running at that point. If I were to bump it higher, it might need even more sad.gif I'll try it out tonight.

No worries heng84 smile.gif I was just kidding on the earlier part.

I guess my FP-Y5 are total crap? The moment I reduce 0.1V and it turns unstable sad.gif I need 2.3V to run 474 irregardless. Maybe I should try out Rev A?

The problem is the heat and if we can get rid of the heat problem, bumping more Vcore is alright.

Currently with the stock cooler, I can't be bothered to o/c any further sad.gif

If I invest on a Phase Change, it costs RM600 and IFX-14 + 2 fans would be around RM350 biggrin.gif

Cheaper solution is to get the Cooler Master GeminII
