Hi guys and gals,

Trying to OC my Q9450, so far managed a stable 3GHz (350*8) sync with ram (Corsair XMS2 800Mhz)
Voltages:
Vcore 1.15
FSB 1.10
Vdimm 1.9, 4-4-4-12

Tried out on IBT 15 loops.

Ok i tried 3.2Ghz (400*8) on my Q9450
Voltage settings I got from another OCer in another forum having same proc and mobo as me.

Vcore 1.25
VFSB 1.20
Vdimm 2.1 4-4-4-12
VNB 1.4

Passed IBT 15 loops,

Realtemp shows idle at 45C while max temp during stress is 67C.

Trying to keep the temps lower than 70C, 65 would be just nice, as I read this is the recommendation for 45nm chips.

Gonna try to lower the voltages more.

What motherboard are you using? I don't think you need 1.4vmch to run 400FSB. 1.3 or less will be sufficient...

Urs is EO stepping right? Take your time bro! Coz from the stock vid we can expect the overclockabillity of the chip. My vid is 1.1V for stock speed. Cheers!

Using evga 750i FTW mobo. I tried Vnb 1.35, getting BSOD during IBT. 1.4 no BSOD, can pass 15 loops.
Managed to reduced vcore to 1.2375v. Gonna try to go lower.

I'm using the xigmatek red scorpion with the crossbow. Quite pleased with it. Anyway, what is your vid at stock speed?

just done this...
note that the vcore is 1.525v , i put that high because wanna make it stable... actually 1.475vcore is enough tongue.gif
2.5vdimm to make DDR2 1100 CL4-4-4-4 , PL 9 , trfc 30 doh.gif
vmch +0.1 from default.

I think I couldn't go more after 4.5ghz doh.gif

Guys, I have a bit of a problem here with OC...
I OCed my rig(as in the sig) to 4Ghz = 500x8 @ 1.375v vcore...on 1:1 though...I've already passed OCCT and Orthos for cpu stressing (8 hours) but when I'm surfing the net with mozilla firefox, it sometimes give out an error...and my utorrent also got error this morning which it never does...

The question is do I need to increase my cpu vtt voltage to make it stable?
