I am recently taking Yaz 28 and it is still the first out of 3 packs. It's not for the sake of birth control but recommended by my Gynea doc which i complaint that i have severe menstrual pain in these recent years. It is suspected that i am having Endometriosis and being precribed 3 packs of Yaz 28.

I have started the first pack on my first day period as told by the Gynea doc and it fell on Thursday. After tomolo, i will be starting to take the inactive pill.

Here's my concern:
Usually i have 7 days of menstruation. After the first day of my period (first day of taking Yaz) until now, i am experiencing bleeding. Of course for the first 7 days it was like an usual menstruation, nothing much different with the common cycle. Anyway, light bleeding continued afterwards. Is it normal for ahving the so called "Breakthrough Bleeding" for such a long time non-stop?

Also, i am experiencing breast tenderness recently, just happened for a week plus. It's pain even if i touched it politely. Is that normal too?

I lost appetite, feel tired easily and having shoulder pain, backache and headache.

Are all these side effects of taking Yaz?

I'm experiencing the same thing when I took Yaz (minus the lost appetite part). Now I'm trying Diane 35 but Pharmacist told me this brand is now restricted due to several complaints from customers in US.

Why would you changed to Diane?

I was thinking to finish the 3 packs given. Thinking by the time i finished all, i guess all the side effects would go away???

I guessed i used to the side effects that i mentioned earlier. It does exist but i do not feel that suffer compared to the first few weeks after taking Yaz.

Anyway, another problem rose. I missed my pink pills for 3 consecutive days and i take it back on the 4th day like usual. It was the second pack, pill 11th to 13th. Which means I did not do anything with the 3 missed pills, i just leave it there and took the 14th pill. Also, during the 3 days that i missed the pills, without the hormone to give signal to my body, the period came again. It was just about 7-10 days after my normal cycle.

Now, i am having the 23rd pill, meaning that the day after tomorrow i should take the inactive white pill for the period come. I tried to call my gynae doctor but she's on long leave.

What should i do? Should i skip the white pill and take the 3 missed pink pills as replacement then continue with a new pack like usual? or should i take the white pill and let it period (it would be the 3rd time period in a month time)?

Like i said, the purpose i took the pill with the doctor's advise to cure my severe pain during mentrual period and also to prevent the disease of endometriosis which the doctor suspected it to be, but not for birth control.

Also to share a little bit after one and a half month of taking Yaz.

Like i shared earlier after the first day of my period of taking Yaz, i experienced light bleeding continuously even after my normal menstrual cycle. Then it continued until i started on the inactive white pill. Here it started the second mentrual cycle after taking Yaz. It was found that the period is not that heavy compared to my previous one before trying on Yaz and the mentrual pain has reduced to a level that i nearly could not feel the pain but just a little not comfortable on the stomach. About after 5days, the period stopped and surprisingly that the light bleeding also went away and did not return until i missed the 3 pink pills. Period came back on the 2nd day i missed the pink pill and the flow is quite heavy on the first 3 days. After 3 days of missing the pink pills, i took it back on the 4th day as usual. The flow reduce obviously only on the 4th day of my period (which is on the 2nd day i took back the pink pill) and it stopped on the 6th day of the period cycle. This time it was same as last time during my mentrual cycle that it doesn't hurt but only little not comfortable on the stomach, even the flow is heavier. And finally after the period, no more light bleeding until now.

I was told that having light bleeding is common for those who takes Yaz for the first time and usually happen only on the first month.

Hope this would help to those girls who experiencing the same with me.

Also hope that someone knowledgable could provide me some advises while waiting for my gynae doctor to come back from her long leave.

Thanks.

Just some sharing after talking to my gynae doctor.

She asked me to finish all the pink pills left in the second pack and since i have already taken the first missed pill (11th pill that i missed) as the replacement for the first white pill that i am supposed to take yesterday, i was advised to finish the leftover 2 missed pills (12th and 13th pill) on today and tomorrow then start with the third pack of Yaz disregard of the 4 white inactive pill (in which i already have my period during the 3 days of my missed pills).

Another advise from the doctor, extra protection is required for the next 7 days after the last missed pills.
