QUOTE(joshtlk @ Apr 25 2011, 12:58 AM) 6 yrs ago lower teams heard arsenal coming or them going to highbury... they all pray not to get thrashed and try to stay optimistic to get henry's or bergkamp's jersey...fast forward 6 yrs later... they come to force a draw and sometimes win with good gameplay and luck. we got 3 chances to win while man u drew and lost. yes we drew and loose along. AW should stop being so dictating in his policy, and start reflecting where goes wrong. now that we already have funds and making profit, aint its the time to win? policy tht cannot prove its worth on winning in games and trophies, be it crucial or not, is not a good policy. policy which can onli generate income but not winning, not a good policy policy that looses financially but win all the time, also not good policy. managing football clubs and big name players is tough. if cannot do it, quit. we love to hate and hate to love jose mourinho and manchester united and barcelona IS WITH A REASON. and the reason is not financial aspect. we knew it. |

QUOTE(fabvader @ Apr 25 2011, 01:16 AM) we still can take the title yes, who knows for other teams complacent...but if i really choose to be optimistic, i would see invincible team to do it, rather than the current crop. as much as i believe on their individual potential (current team), but collectively they still have to really polish every aspect. youngsters when moral down, susah to pick up oldsters +1. u see lah the previous team. 2 nil down can win...10 men down is when they r the most lethal. this team a bit terbalik....sigh. crack under pressure. cannot keep lead. still hope for miracle. |

QUOTE(MISHUGINA @ Apr 25 2011, 01:17 AM) why not kroenke invite mourinho to manage Arsenal? Like his entertaining diva-ish antics plus he's proven trophy winner. The downside would be back to Graham's old 1-0 wins though. mourinho, proven with unkown n young lads. managed 4 diff clubs. win CL 3 times, back to back premiership with chelsea.respected as a threat and rival to alex ferguson. the man i love to hate and hate to love. |

QUOTE(Casanova88 @ Apr 27 2011, 07:04 PM) I agree. He never been impressive as a leader from day 1. Even RVP is not an excellent leader. Selling Fab would be the best option now just like how Torres been sold by Liverpool. yup agreed.Time for new revival & leadership. "good player not neccessary a good leader, good leader not neccessary a good player" vieira is a good leader, bad temper, but good leader. played his role well. henry is a fantastic player, not so much of a good leader. fab is fabulous in talent, but not a mature or a good leader. gary neville. one of the best english right back during his prime, but not a talented player. he admitted in an interview that he work 2wice as hard as every player bcoz he lacks the talent and he uses hardwork to pay it off. roy keane. nuff said. gerrard. great influence and leader. good technique. terry. lines his defends well. good leader. |

Arsene Wenger Would Not Get As Much Time In Spain Says Arsenal Captain
Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas has said manager Arsene Wenger would be sacked if he did not won a trophy for six years if he was in charge of a top Spanish club. Wenger is the second longest serving manager in Premier League history have taken the reigns at Arsenal in 1996. But the Gunners have not won any major silverware since 2005 and are looking likely not to win any this season. Fabregas says if Wenger was in charge of Barcelona, Real Madrid or Valencia he would not have gone three years without a trophy without being sacked. The 23-year-old does admit there is a different culture in Spain but realises the Arsenal board will soon have to make a big decision on Wenger’s future. “It (Wenger’s position) is now easier to understand because I’ve been here for many years,” Fabregas told Don Balon. “Obviously, if you come from Spain and say to (Unai) Emery, (Pep) Guardiola and (Jose) Mourinho they would spend three years without winning anything, it’s understood that they’re not going to continue in their position.” “It’s different here. The coach is a smart person and the club appreciates other things. “The team is always in the Champions League and competes to the end of the season, and it has economic stability. I guess that is important for the board. “I imagine there will be a time when they will have to take the plunge: to win or not win,” he added. “When I started we won the FA Cup and then we reached the final of the Champions League. “We didn’t win but you say, OK we lost to Barcelona, by one goal in the last minute. It’s not a victory but still – it’s the first time the club reached the final of the Champions League. “From 2007 I started saying, ‘we didn’t win but we played very well.’ “But then you realise it doesn’t work. This year, for example, when we were in four different competitions, you think to yourself, ‘We could win it all!’ “But after missing that final point you have to make a decision: play to win, or to train players.” |
