Just bought a huge packet of Serious Mass from Optimum Nutrition, and the scoop that came with the gainer is HUGE. Seriously.. :/

Okay brothers, I just got a brand new pack of Optimum Nutrition's "Serious Mass". I'm trying to gain weight as I want to look a bit bigger (obviously). I'm 18 and I weigh just 61 kilograms. My height's about 178 centimetres.

I tried one pack of O.N's "Serious Mass" last month, and I did not see any improvements whatsoever, but I've only got myself to blame for this as I did not obey the recommended serving style (2 heaping scoops of powder per day), as I only took one full scoop a day.

But I'm a bit confused on how to divide my intake of this powder. Is it entirely up to me? What's the best way to do it? I don't want to waste another RM250 for nothing (as I didn't see any improvement with the last pack).

Any other tips for me?

Thanks!

Lol, you already wasted your money cos mass gainers are crap. HL chocolate milk with a scoop of whey = extreme PWO drink.

Dang.. I spoke to at least three different nutritionists, and they all recommended O.N's "Serious Mass" as well as another product known as "True Mass". Now that I already have a pack, what can I do to squeeze the most out of it?

Thanks doc!

Wait, nutritionists recommended these? From whom were you asking advice from anyways?

You want results right? Take the recommended servings and.....

Wait for it...........

The guys over at GNC. They're nutritionists. Well, that's what they told me anyway. tongue.gif

I'm trying my level best to eat as much as possible man. My metabolism rate is a bit too high I guess. But yeah, I'll do that!

Try taking it between meals. After bfast n after lunch. See how it goes. Try to eat atleast 2k calories meal a day. Before bed, eat 3-4 scramble eggs.

Were these 'nutritionists' staff at the store you bought the supplements, or nutritionists in an independent company?

Right now, see here. The thing about supplements is that they're meant to supplement your diet (which needs to be solid in the first place). They will do you no good if you aren't eating enough as mike said. I personally have made gains on a bag of serious mass but that's because I had the rest of my stuff in check (diet, training and rest). These factors need each other to work and give you improvements, take out one and you don't get progress.

Hmmph, I train pretty hard but my diet is rubbish. I don't keep track of my calorie intake, but I do try to eat a lot. Looks like it's my diet that I should be scrutinising right now.

That says it all. Nutritionists or not, at the end of the day they want you to buy their products. And GNC's way overpriced, man. Getting your supps online is much cheaper, just sayin'.

Yep, I did a bit of research AFTER buying the product (again), and yeah, you're right. sweat.gif

Thanks a lot for your help Dan, and the rest of ya'll! Much appreciated smile.gif
