You need to give us more details on your setup

What iOS is your iPad running on? 4.3.1?
What version of iTunes are you using (the latest one or not?)
What OS is your computer using? OSX or Windows 7, Vista/XP?

Having said that, update everything to its latest version and hopefully all the necessary drivers are installed.

Din't see the charging when plugin ipad to PC.
The ipad was a tethered jailbreak and one fine day forgot to turn off the screen and the battery was drain out.

If it is not charging when you plugged it in , a few things might had turned up :

1.Driver problem

2.Usb port problem

3.The cable problem

4.The worst - iPad problem (if all the above is not the case)

But , i wanted to ask , you connect the iPad to the computer via 1-1 usb port or you use USB hub ?

Try charging it with socket first? Under normal circumstances, iPad won't really charge with computer's USB inm..

+1.charge with the wall socket 1st.
Sometime iPad are too smart on detecting power from low rated voltage.

Yeah, done on multiple USB port and different PC/Laptop and still unable to detect.
What's interesting is that the iPad screen will always show Apple Logo with black background whenever plug to PC/Laptop

Your only option is to restore and then jb again... This time untethered.... Lol

Can your iPad detect by iTunes? iPad will normally shows Not Charging when you connected to your PC's or Older version of Mac as the USB are not enough power to charge the iPad.
