I've had unifi for just a couple of weeks now, and it's been unstable from the beginning.
At first, things were good, speed good, tv working, everything smooth, but after only a few hours I started getting dropouts.
A continuous ping would show connection being up for three minutes, then down for 10 seconds.
Later this changed to up a few minutes, down until reboot of router.
Needless to say, skype was impossible, downloads impossible, tv and phone didn't work.
TM has finally agreed to send some help, an engineer will come on Wednesday. But I'm not impressed with the service, having to wait two weeks to get help.
I'm posting this using my digi 3G, as I'm without connection for a couple of more days.
On the router, things look fine when I power it up, then after a while the VOIP light goes red, dsl starts blinking, and then goes out completely.
I have no access to log on to it, but I can log on to the wireless (DIR-615) and its log says:
"Apr 11 13:21:03 ","PPP: Connection terminated."
"Apr 11 13:20:47 ","PPP: No response to 14 LCP echo requests."
"Apr 11 13:16:41 ","Attack! SYN flooding attack from WAN (ip:69.246.68.222) detected."

"Apr 11 13:10:15 ","IPCP: local IP address ****"
"Apr 11 13:10:15 ","PAP authentication succeeded."
I've enabled firewall, disabled remote auth etc on the DIR-615, but it seems the problem happens before it even reaches the wireless,
a denial of service attack from the outside. What can I do? I tried to explain to Unifi Service that they need to secure my router or give me a better one,
but the persons on the phone had little to no technical knowledge apparently.
Any advice?

I had exact the same problem like you, for about 3 weeks time (means it takes 3 weeks from them to COME FOR FIRST TRY). I think there's 2 separate issues: Modem and Router. At first, things were good, speed good, tv working, everything smooth, but after only a few hours I started getting dropouts.
A continuous ping would show connection being up for three minutes, then down for 10 seconds.

being VOIP red is your modem's problem, just tell them take a new Modem and replace it? some of the words you will see in Log are such as "PPP: No response to 14 LCP echo requests" "PPPoE: Sending PADI for session1"
I even got "PPP authentication failed", then the CS guy said he never heard about this, suggest me reset my ROUTER and it works... the only "PPP authentication failed" problem. The rest still the same.
Then after they replace the modem (just few days ago) I notice there's a lot of "Attack! Xmas port scan attack from WAN (ip:127.0.0.1) detected." appears in the router log... I check on the web and the one who reply you before me suggesting to follow the security setting on unifi.anthenna. I did it again cause it reminded me I did reset my router and cleared all the custom settings.
Now it turns out: "Attack! SYN flooding attack from WAN (ip:218.108.223.132) detected"... there's nothing I can do. I think we all have chance for being port scanned but not so frequent right? I didn't see something really happen to my computer but I'm affraid these things will introduce more delay to my network access, will it?
