Bring your particular details, owner of unifi line, go to TMpoint and request upgrade.
You cant do at Agent or via phone call. You may use house address but using biz5, you have to declare urself running SOHO business if they refuse to provide biz5. This post has been edited by guardioo: May 3 2011, 05:42 PM |

Hmm!i was using the TP-link 841N, it doesnt work with huawei, i switch back to dlink and it work, it doesnt seem like interval problem though....as it doesnt authenticate my user id and password which just keep connecting...
1. change back to ddwrt with dlink straight ok... 2. change back to default dlink is ok 3. using tplink 841n not workable with huawei even changing interval This post has been edited by guardioo: May 16 2011, 01:29 PM |

QUOTE(aaronlim @ May 18 2011, 01:50 PM) Hi All Unifi Sifus, It's true, new area development doesnt come with copper wire instead fiber.I just moved to a new place in Puchong (Park Villa, Bkt Puchong 2). I actually planning to transfer streamyx broadband from existing hse, but TM told me that that new area only covers Unifi and cannot transfer. Is it true? anyone faced this prob? Tak kan ppl who just want a voice package, cannot meh? Ended up I apply for Unifi..but the installation schedule is 23 July !!! so long waiting !! Sigh !! You have no choice except using fiber. |

normally if there is fiber, tmnet/maxis will install a convertor for you just for phone.
if you doesnt need to internet services, there is a fiber converter installed just outside ur house, a simple tools actually. |

QUOTE(ckboon @ May 23 2011, 09:36 AM) From what i saw during the UNIFI installation, the whole fiber box or somewhere it indicate that the cable is "made in Malaysia". sometimes just the boxes made in Malaysia only and fiber cable is once a very very expensive stuff, but the price degraded over due to high demand. It's the same goes to so many IT product, remember the price on CDRW during it first lauch? USB thumbdrive? then DVD? and now bluray. Their price range can be more than 80% different from the time it launch to now |

QUOTE(fx_53_xt @ Jun 6 2011, 10:11 PM) Could you try it for a few days and post some feedback? Let me get you the feedback.I'm particularly interested to know if the download station is switch on 24/7 for BT, does it affect stability? Also if it is possible for the download station to store to NAS instead of attaching a HDD to it. If you hit 1-2 TB in just 1 week. Good luck by getting throttle to 1MB. My friend recently hitting 3-4 TB in just 1 week and 3 days, and he does get throttle by heavily abuse using torrent. Please do note this is just rumor as i had no idea why become like this. |
