Applied Unifi early may and was told i must wait till july for my area (Equine Park). Made a few calls to Unifi CS and confirmed that my area is fully booked and i must wait till July.

Suddenly a lady call me on last friday and say they opened up a new team and offer to install for me on Monday (yesterday).

came around 9.30am and done about 11.00+am. Despite the fact that they need to drill two walls and pull the fiber through rooms to get the equipment to my living room, they done it under two hours. Quite fast compared TM's claim of 5 hours. They patch up my walls, nailed all the cables nicely and even giving me additional few meters fiber optic cable so that i can have to flexibility to move the equipment around. Gave me some advice on how people broke their because they over bending the fiber and etc etc. Thumbs up for the contractor's service.

I did a speed test before signing the acceptance forms. Nice speed for local, and to my surprise, even overseas server from tokyo, seoul, taichung and hong kong managed to get over 4mbps U/D. Only US servers did not managed to hit over 4mbps. I however did not managed to get that kind of speed anymore after i signed the SAF form. LoL.

And service was down for whole day today till about 7pm just now. Hope this does no occurs frequently.

if phone not working.. i wonder how during emergency if we need to use the phone to make calls...

are they hoping that we have mobile line ?

unlike the old pots days/dsl we can at least still use the phone...

i think this will be a big problem in the future.. when the backhaul(vdsl/optics) is down

you can't use the phone meaning everything is totally down...

if yes, i think i would have the potential to face this... hahaha
