Finally, TP-Link TL-WR841ND V7.x compatible issue with Huawei HG655a VDSL has been identified & resolved!! rclxms.gif

I would like to thank the following persons for this whole trouble-shooting effort:

To IceBrew, for your continuous help to test & capture data for many rounds for the past few weeks, truly appreciate your patient & effort!  notworthy.gif

To TP-Link, for the special arrangement to purposely fly down 2 engineers just to trouble-shoot on-site.  Your company has once again demonstrated strong customer support & full commitment to work with any user closely to resolve localised issue.  Honestly, this is something I've never seem before, especially for the current small market like UniFi in Malaysia.  My respect to TP-Link, please keep up the great support effort!  notworthy.gif

To Rizvanrp, for your in-dept technical knowledge to quickly identify the root cause! Trust me, I was thinking we might have to spend long hours on this, I'm completely lost by looking at your Linux computer screen  sweat.gif and yet you can still tell us the root cause in less than an hour, you are really rock man, truly amazing!!  notworthy.gif  thumbup.gif

Ok, correct me if I'm wrong, my layman understanding it was due to some kind of "Echo send ~ Echo receive" issue between the router client & Tm's server end.  Actually no modification on the beta firmware is needed, just have to change the following settings:
Network --> WAN --> "Advanced"
[attachmentid=2147516]

Hope this issue can now put to rest, any HG655a VDSL high-rise users if you are not happy with the DIR-615 can now consider this all-in-one complete replacement option.

Once again, thank you all for your great effort, cheers!!  biggrin.gif

Why not consider RB750/750G straight?
*
I'd want to if Landasan still has stocks .. but having pfsense ever since streamyx, I would prefer to continue using it wink.gif

edit : btw bro klseet, is this option suppose to be a "keep-alive" parameter?

edit 2 : besides that, still can't guarantee a RB750G could work without encountering this issue sad.gif

Not sure what's the problem with TP-link, but does this affecting pfsense also? I just send 1 unit of 1U pfsense for testing in a local soho company. Not receiving any feedback from them. Hopefully the machine still working fine.

What is the problem tp link encounter? disconnection or what?

there's a 1U solution for pfsense blink.gif ? interesting ... btw the problem some of us are getting especially VDSL2 users are frequent disconnection due to the configuration klseet mentioned earlier

Sorry I'm not familiar with Pfsense, from my understanding, it's something to do with the PPP client session which need to send the Echo first, then only the server will response, interval seem need to be at around 30 seconds, and if no response around 4mins, the server will kill the session.

I don't have such issue on DD-WRT TL-WR941ND, so I guess the DD-WRT could have already in-build this Echo sending automatically, whereas such setting in TP-Link is under WAN-->Advanced which can be configured manually.  I believe RB750/750G should have no problem with this, will do some test later to re-confirm.

Btw, you may also check out Soliton SG for MikroTik product, price list at front page or here  nod.gif
Not at the moment!
