QUOTE(AjkR06 @ Jun 6 2011, 10:18 AM) For the time being, only TP-LINK TL-WR841ND are able to fully support Unifi. But it depends on BTU also.. Some said that ALCATEL LUCENT BTU cannot be used with TL-WR841ND... Thanks for the reply mate..You can refer to KLSEET UNIFI WEBSITE Anyway will the TP-Link Wireless Repeater (TL-WA901ND) work to repeat the Unifi default router?.. as I have two of them at my house..So it will be great if it is compatible.. QUOTE(AjkR06 @ Jun 6 2011, 06:01 PM) I think, since it is only will act as an access point, for sure it will be compatible with Unifi stock DIR-615 router... Alright thanks for the reply..TM coming here anytime now..After installation will try to extend the WiFi using the Wireless Repeater..You just need to connect your AP to whether to LAN port 1,2 or 3 on the router... LAN port 4 has been dedicated to special VLAN 600 for IPTV Thanks |

TM just reached my house and I brought them to my room for installation but they told me we going to use VDSL2 since my area not yet pull fiber optic..
I was like WTF!..lol I'm getting 20Mb package cause I need to some hosting and they wanna use VDSL2?..The ping will definitely be high right guys?.. Anyway let them install if im not satisfied im gonna screw TM for giving me VDSL2 instead of FTTH.. Thanks |

QUOTE(fx_53_xt @ Jun 7 2011, 11:06 AM) why would VDSL2 causes high latency? This is my speedtest...VDSL/FTTH is just method of delivery. performance wise its all up to TM's backbone. ![]() Abit dissapointed on the ping..I need to call TM now and inform them about this.. The ping is way higher than my Streamyx 1Mbps package.. Thanks |

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Jun 7 2011, 04:12 PM) If full speed... 2TB in 10 days is achievable! I'm staying at my own house..Not high rise building/condo..20Mbps/8=2.5MBps 2.5MB*60*60=9000MB/hour 9000MB * 24 = 216000MB~216GB 10days = 2160GB~2.1TB. Why not?? Where you stay?? If you stay in Condo or Apartment, TM never offer FTTH for high rise building (except certain special case listed by some forumer here where the number of units in a particular condo is very small). Normal condo/high rise building all use VDSL2. Your ping is very good when compared to mine... Mine fluctuates between 50ms to 80ms. |

QUOTE(AjkR06 @ Jun 7 2011, 04:45 PM) Hurmmm.. but why you got VDSL instead FTTH? Yea cause they never pull the fibre to my area yet..Abit disappointing la..Usually for the landed property, TM will use FTTH.. which is the average ping is about 10-19ms.. There are also who got below than 10ms... Tomorrow going to TM to cancel my streamyx and talk to them about this issue.. Thanks |

QUOTE(MGM @ Jun 8 2011, 11:50 AM) What I did was I connected the TP-Link TL-WR1043ND which is a Ultimate Wireless N Gigabit Router directly to the D-Link DIR-615 Unifi Router and set it as Dynamic IP connection not PPPoE connection..After that i set a reserved IP for the TP-Link Router in the D-Link Unifi router and also I did turn off the WiFi on the D-Link Unifi router..So basically the TP-Link TL-WR1043ND is the WiFi router..From there I used the TP-Link TL-WA901ND which is a 300Mbps Wireless N Access Point to repeat the signal strength.. And again I repeat the signal by using the same method from another side of my house since my house is quiet huge so from that end to the other end the signal is only two bar so this is the only way I can think off.. Reason I did this is because to limit bandwidth for the user in my house and for sure a better wireless strength.. *To get your port forwarded, you need to put the static IP for your TP-Link TL-WR1043ND Router on the DMZ in the D-Link Unifi router..And from now on just use the TP-Link to port forward.. Here is my temporary setup while waiting for the damn TM to get the FTTH to my house directly to my room.. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Thanks |
