i subscribe unifi last year December and the bill just came yesterday.
6 months late. LMFAO
*
They should send it to ur email in softcopy. My first hard copy also just received in may... But I paid other bills dated earlier by referring to softcopy i received.

guys, i upgraded my service from Streamyx 1mb to VIP 5..on the Unifi registration form, i tick the option to terminate my current streamyx and land line..some how, until today my streamyx and land line bills still come in..now i got my streamyx and land line bills overdue for 2 months!
WTH Unifi never terminate my previous service..anybody ever facing the same issue?
*
FYI... Many users here encountered the same prob and u actually need to go to TM and terminate it MANUALLY. TM won't do it for u. Sorry for ur outstanding amount.

Hi Ckboon,

there is a way.. if your TV supports "Auto Volume Leveler", then just enable it..

I do agree on the commercial ads where it is new ads where volume is clearer and louder, but some movies especially old ones, it is very soft.
hope it helps.
*
Or get something to normalize the volume. But that will be extra piece of equipment. haha

Apply on April la bro, have waited for a month already~
But I heard some of the forumer say that apply online may seem more expensive even though it has 1 month free than the dealers outside, true?
Dealer won't charge installation fee, bla bla but TM do cos they provide 1 month free subscription already?
hmm.gif
*
I thought their free installation still going on?

i'm quite confused with the free 1 month promotion too.
since it says free 1 month, means the first month suppose is FOC right?plus, they need use to pay 1 upfront payment, which means i should pay only rm149(VIP 5 package) for the first month.and i don't need to pay anything for the second month right?
*
The first month is pro-rated to you bill cycle date while second month is one whole bill cycle.
EG: Your bill cycle is dated 16th of every month. If you installed on 1st April and you're receiving bill during end of april to beginning of may.
You will be paying for first month, 1/4 to 15/4 then the second month, 16/4 to 15/5. First month is about half(15 days) that is about RM75 then second month RM149. Your bill will be RM149+RM75+RM10(stamp duty)-RM149(one month free)=RM85+-. Get it? Thanks.

Hello, would like to ask that, is it possible for normal normal ADSL (streamy) broadband connection speed to go as high as 1.8mb/s?
*
I think what he mean is 1.8MB/s. Yes. It's possible and currently offered in quite a lot of country but Malaysian TM only offer up to 4Mbps which is around 500kB/s. 1.8MB/s can be achieved with plan of 16~20Mbps.

I'm looking at the VIP 10 package but want a straight answer from TM about the download caps. I know they're not doing it now.

I'm just wondering if anyone knows what will/could happen if TM implements their monthly download limits and you go over them. I mean nothing is stopping them from implementing it the day after I sign up, Terms and Conditions Para 25. Variation, I imagine.

As I see it there are only two ways to handle it, money and/or speed. Charge X RM per X Unit over cap, or slow down connection as penalty. I just can't find anything. TM could, theoretically, charge outrageous fees  (think Maxis pay per use RM0.10/10KB) RM700 seems a bit high a price for a DVD movie rip. They could go just as crazy on the speed side too, hit your cap...welcome to dial-up speeds (I can probably whistle 56K).

I know I'm being a bit over the top with that thought but my point is nothing is written down. Nothing is stopping them from doing it, heck they could just switch your connection till the next month.

Would I be able to get out of my contracts 24 month MSP if I don't like their terms? What other recourse do I have?
*
Rumoured to be HIT QUOTA=10% Speed. 20Mbps hit quota=2Mbps.

seriously why Malaysia's international cable broke down so easily compared to others? do we have giant octopuses living just offshore of our land?
*
I think you need to say like this... Malaysians needs information from other countries but no other countries want information from us so... When out international link got prob, we always feel that but others won't as they're like connecting locally (referring to those staying in US/UK... ... ...) Just for fun xD Windows Live Mail obviously affected... Can't even read mails!!

Hi there bro how do you pay through M2U? Can show me the steps?
*
I'm paying through Pos Malaysia->Public bank. Never pay using M2U before even though I have the account. I know can use M2U because it's listed in the "appendix" part of your bill that suggests you how you pay the bill. Why don't you just try it? Btw... The system is refreshing. Can't login now. I can't help you further in this matter.

I dont really mind about the USB 2.0. Heck i doubt even if the RM180 router comes with USB 3.0, it is capable of read/write to the HDD that fast. I've thought about NAS with BT capabilities. But the price blows my budget.
funny your feedback does not help answering my question a single bit but mocking out of nowhere.
and just to humour you, i'll be damn happy if TM cap me at 1MBps for VIP5. And no, even with 20Mbps running at 24/7 at full speed, he wouldn't be able to download more than 2TB in 10 days.
*
If full speed... 2TB in 10 days is achievable!
20Mbps/8=2.5MBps
2.5MB*60*60=9000MB/hour
9000MB * 24 = 216000MB~216GB
10days = 2160GB~2.1TB. Why not??

QUOTE(bizness @ Jun 7 2011, 10:23 AM)
TM just reached my house and I brought them to my room for installation but they told me we going to use VDSL2 since my area not yet pull fiber optic..

I was like WTF!..lol

I'm getting 20Mb package cause I need to some hosting and they wanna use VDSL2?..The ping will definitely be high right guys?..

Anyway let them install if im not satisfied im gonna screw TM for giving me VDSL2 instead of FTTH..

Thanks smile.gif
*
Where you stay?? If you stay in Condo or Apartment, TM never offer FTTH for high rise building (except certain special case listed by some forumer here where the number of units in a particular condo is very small). Normal condo/high rise building all use VDSL2. Your ping is very good when compared to mine... Mine fluctuates between 50ms to 80ms.
