there is repair goin on in Taman Bukit Desa. Apparently unifi inclding voip was down for the past two days in Tmn Bkt Desa bcoz the Tenaga Nasional construction accidentally cut one of the wires. service will be back to normal late night, one of the contractors told.

@samsung - yes u can upgrade. i upgraded mine without a problem. its just dat ur streamyx will be running aswell unless u manually ask dem to disconnect it.

My unifi connection has been reaaally unstable since last Friday.
I lose my connection literally every hour.
Called tm customer service line for more than 5 times already today, everytime sure busy busy busy.
Each time waited for more than 5minutes then i'll lose my patience and close the call.

Whats going on, TM? I demand an explaination for your lousy service! vmad.gif

This is the first time something like this has happened since i subscribed to unifi 5 months ago vmad.gif

EDIT: I already got disconnected 3 times in the past hour. Sigh :/

Oh i see thanks.
so that means ultimately i have to cancel my streamyx if i upgraded to unifi ? which means i need to terminate my streamyx contract and pay the penalties in order to use unifi ? cry.gif

What my installer told me was that TM will contact me about 3 days later to ask if I want to continue my Streamyx or not. Today is just the second day, maybe tomorrow they will call. laugh.gif

In which case get TM to replace the router. They offered me a replacement although it seemed fine. And most of the problems went away ie at least net is stable now although pings to some servers are timing out (never happened before).

No problems at all in both ttdi and bukit damansara. I guess this is due to the fact that my accounts are very near and connected to TM's main exchange? One in ttdi and the other in damansara.

When you're talking about high rise buildings it's NOT as simple as installing fiber optic in normal homes. In normal houses or single storey buildings all you need to do is drag a fiber optic cable into the house and you're set. But for high rise buildings it's dependent on your building's existing wiring as you'll be utilizing VDSL instead of FTTH.
