Where r u guys getting your Arcs from?

As far as I know for ori sets only Maxis center and SE shop in Gardens and Pyramid selling it, right?

Guys, I really want to facepalm or headdesk.

I am THISCLOSE to getting the Arc.

But now that I read this thread a bit more, I see all the bugs with the phone, and also the crappy 512mb ram and 320mb internal storage, I want to rage.

WHY, I mean really, WHY can't these bloody phone manufacturers release 1 android phone, just ONE, that doesn't come pre-loaded with some kind of major suckage.

Froyo already can move to SD.

Btw, it's a problem for me because I am already using a DHD, so comparing the specs, Arc seems pathetic. I wasn't expecting better specs, because I've already made peace with the fact that SE is slowpoke. But I didn't expect inferior specs either, so after finding out the difference in specs, it was a big letdown for me.

Also, it doesn't help that the Arc seems to be a buggy phone.

This is true, and this is also my biggest gripe.

Why can't these phone manufacturers release a phone that doesn't have some kind of major problem. I'm not even asking for a perfect phone or a great phone, just one that has it's selling points minus the major problems that most Android phones seem to have, one or the other.

Went and got my Arc today.

How do I know if it really is an original set?

The sticker behind the phone says SE and Dynamics. Original?

Got my arc since last night. So far a satisfied customer. However I notice that the speaker's sound break a little if u turn it up max.

Well, the thing is, active usage is what really drains the battery. Helping save battery in idle mode, although nice, isn't really that a big deal, right?

I mean, look at my DHD, notorious for having bad battery life. But I took out my sim card and left it idle since Monday, and this morning it still has about 60 or 70% battery. So idle mode shouldn't consume much battery in the first place.

How come some users are reporting screen flickering? It's odd.

i went to the SE shop in sunway pyramid on friday.

they had that little box thing for you to text out the xrmor technology thing that takes picture in low light.

so, i went and tried it out excitedly and took a pic of the android in the box with my arc.

ok lar, a bit blurry, but the android did show up.

so, wanting to show off, i took my gf's iphone4 to also take a picture so that i can show her the difference.

but kns, somehow, the iphone4 took a clearer picture of the android than my arc.

that was funny.
