Tried. It still won't work lol. Does the program automatically unmount the sdcard on first pressing root?? I am on a Kingston 16gb card btw.

Try format your old 8GB card and use that for rooting.

Rooting will allow you to :

1. Faked telco using market enabler to access paid apps market - more free apps and to buy paid apps
2. Install apps such as backup /restore software, battery calibration, overclock, voltage control, screenshot etc
3. Flash kernel, rom if available

Rooted! Wow I felt like a supernoob. I think it must have been rooted earlier but I still went on to continue rooting....damn paiseh now. Just because it did not self reboot I didn't think for once that it might rooted. Thanks for your advice bro. Because of this advice I went through all my apps and I saw the superuser doh.gif

Titanium Backup successfully installed. smile.gif

another noob question, must i back up all my data first before rooting? smile.gif

Anyway, i manage to squeeze 15 hours of battery life out of my arc today while running the items below with still remaining 17% battery.

30mins of phone calls and a fair bit of sms
full time data
whatsapp
msn messenger
2 push emails
15 mins of web browsing
facebook
foursquare
30 mins of switching on the phone and fooling around with it
running 2g network

Is this on the average or can it be better?
