Hi,
We're Malaysian/American musicians (jazz singer, guitarists) looking for a bassist and drummer.
You don't need to be a music genius but preferably someone who can improvise with any given music.
It's a plus if you know some jazz standards but we mainly write our own materials.

You can check our past work - Minuly on bandcamp.

Someone who can commit for weekly jamming sessions, recording sessions, live shows.

1) looking for: Drummer, bassist, sax
2) instrument: We have a jazz vocalist, guitarist, composer/guitarist. All of us are in our mid to late 20s.
3) influences/preferences: jazz, blues, rock, pop
4) location: Kuala Lumpur, jamming mainly in Ampang
5) my requirements: full commitment as mentioned before. Definitely have your own instruments.
6) Add info: Please PM if you are interested.

Ray

Hello, hello,

I am looking for a violinist and/or trumpet player.
I founded MinulĂ˝ (minuly.bandcamp.com) and am looking for new sounds for new stuff that I write.
So, what I do is that I write my own pieces and when I play covers, I'd usually like to add flavors to them. So jazz standards.. I won't play the exactly as it is. You'll figure out.
I work with a lot of American musicians on a short term, so I'd like to have someone I can work with for longer period of time. Since I am not a professional musician, I have this very much as a side project and love to get my ideas into something really cool.

I like jazz but what I do sounds very indie, rock or adult contemporary, ambient, whatever you'd like to call it. Imagine having strings for Radiohead songs, for example. Or overdriven guitar and string sounds on jazz standards, etc.

I live in Ampang, Selangor - pretty close to Laguna Music.

Ideally someone who can improvise, it'll be great if there you have cool ideas, but it's not a prerequisite.
If you have been playing classical and this is new to you, let's try it out.
As I said, I'd like a longer term collaboration. It involves no pay and on the contrary, I've spent so much money recording the last EP.

Most of all, it should be fun!

Cheers,
Raymond
