Looking for a band here is tough, and even if I did find one, the schedules don't fit with all the members, especially those who have a day job like me.

So I am wondering if any of you here are interested working on a collaboration project covering songs of our choice. I am a noob rhythm guitarist and I have cover some songs for practice haha.
Might as well be serious about it and if I can't join/get some people in a band, then why not do it in our own leisure time, wherever and whenever.

Basically, this is what we would need to start the project:

1. Choice of songs to cover, or any original songs would do too
2. Able to use Ableton (i.e. Live 8) as your DAW, with your choice of VST (i.e. Guitar Rig 4, Amplitube) through an audio interface (i.e. Line6, Behringer, etc.) This would standardize our recordings.
3. Able to use Sony Vegas for video recording and editing.

And this is what we would do:
1. Using the choice of song, we would build the parts one by one.
2. You record your part and send to each.
3. Each will have their own turn to put up their ideas into the song (more improvisation is better).
4. Each work will be collated and final editing will be done. Final copy will be sent to each for approval or if changes will be done if needed.

This is for fun purposes only and as a way to learn from fellow musicians. So any of you who have a spare time, kindly PM me and start this.

I'm a bass player, still can consider a beginner as I only picked up the bass this year. I'm looking forward to form a band which at the moment to only play songs from Maroon 5 and Matchbox 20. The initial plan is to do an open-mic performance, then look for some gigs (probably 1 gig per week). I'm currently compiling 24 songs from the 2 bands mentioned. So, I'm looking for a guitarist (I need only 1), a drummer and a singer. If you have a youtube of your playing or singing and decent enough, you'll be shortlisted and we can then meet up to get acquainted. You're not required to be a virtuoso in your instrument of choice, you can be a beginner but I do expect some professionalism as a person.
