Hey guys! So I'm a music student whose planning to put together a band! We have a drummer and guitarist now and we're looking for a bassist and a vocalist preferably 20year olds

Genres we plan to play:
Alternative rock (think early 2000s foo fighters/matchbox 20 and a bit heavier like audioslave.
Some grunge of the 90s
We might also take a step into funk and see where it goes


We dont expect you to be super knowledgable but at least commit to practices and song schedules:).So members gotta be commited to at least once a week practices in PJ area! You dont have to be the best but not a pure amateur as well(we all learn from each other).It's gonna start off as a trial band and see how it goes. Sorry to say, some of the girls here posted ads for finding band members or people to collaborate with but whenever I pmed them, it's either they never reply or act like diva, keep on asking if I can play their (she) preferred artists. Some even said they already in a band but looking for another project (females), why don't you just use your bandmates then?

Ehem btw, female bassist/guitarist with alto-mezzo voice here looking for indie/rock band to fill in. I didn't play in a band for quite some time so don't expect too much.

why, Im so sorry for their attitude, but I believe its not only girls, some people I asked if they are still looking for a band member and then after few talk abot their band, they not replying anymore. I sent a whatsapp to one member here just few days ago, they didnt even bother to check my samples (its in youtube, I can check the view)

I think some people wish to make a great band but weirdly, they just realized the hardwork n commitment they dont wanna go thru RIGHT after they posted the vacancy here! I think thats the reason some girls never replied to you too..

And this is the reason I give up in music, people tend to dream and dream and dream to be a rockstar or something but dont wanna go thru the hardwork. A little bit of friction may lead to disband too. Such mentality is just very disappointing, especially in a band where you gotta work together and be selfless.

I hope you can join a band soon and continue doing what you love, try Jamtank facebook group, I think you'll get many responses there too

Hi, am looking to form a band and now lacking of keyboardist and drummer. Practice will be FOC at my home Studio located in pj area. We play mostly on pop music. Keyboardist should have his/her own keyboard capable to pickup chords or solo from any songs given. Drummerv should do the same too. Hi guys. I am looking for a drummer to form a grunge band (Or at least try to aim for that). I live in Cheras and another bandmate of mine lives in Damansara. I write my own songs, but usually they're not that great, probably because I am a simple man who just needs a guitar, power chords and a distorted amplifier. I would like to be able to have gig opportunities and record the written songs to make an album or an EP, so I expect someone who wants to join me for a long term (or even forever.....lol that sounds a bit creepy). Any age is fine, but I prefer those who are older, as I would like to play with someone who has more experience than me. In terms of drumming skills, as long as you play on tempo and able to hit hard, you are welcome to join in.
