Bro, want to ask
how the environment of Henderson Crescent, Redhill?
Convenient to go Beach Centre to work?
what the HDB rental rate for that area?
Thanks.

Henderson crescent is halfway between Tiong Bahru MRT and Redhill MRT.
There should be direct buses to beach road but it will go through CBD so it may take very long (1 hour) to get there during peak hours.

The HDBs are pretty old. Should be 20+ years. Rental should be between 400 to 700.

Added on April 28, 2011, 12:38 pmI forgot to add, nearest market is ~500m away so expect some walking.

Yeah. Don't go unless you have something to buy.
The crowds and queues are.... amazing.

to be exact, it's 16hours  sweat.gif  sweat.gif  sweat.gif

if i take night bus > reach there morning > then take boat to island > i can dive already
if i take night flight > reach KT airport at night > wont have a place to sleep, and i can only dive the following day around evening already (if 16hours from midnight)
if take morning flight > no need say already... 16hours lol

I last took a bus back to my hometown (Kuantan, KT is ~200km away) late 2009.
It takes ~8 hours to reach just my hometown. KT is a good 2.5 to 3 hours away.
Take note that there is no highway and the roads are all trunk roads (single lane, no road divider and pretty windy) all the way.
Not a very comfortable journey and pretty exhausting if you are a light sleeper for overnight journey.

Do not expect the journey to be anything like the aeroline buses on west coast.
Just setting the expectations here.

And don't be fool by "all clear" Internet picture of tuas check point. Once you cross the peak of the bridge it may be worst than woodland.

I got hit once.
Got stuck for 4 hours standing in a bus. CW2.
It's definitely worst than woodlands.
I rather take KTM but too bad Tanjong Pagar station is closing down.

M1, Singtel or Starhub better in terms of 3G connection?
Cz both the 3 telcos offers nearly the same package.
Now i am looking into in terms of 3G connection.

Latest news is that Starhub starts throttling 3G users once they exceeded 1GB per day.
Reset happened around midnight.
Stay away from Starhub if you do plan on using more than 1GB per day.

eh, west malaysia can renounce PR and take full CPF?
*
Yes. We can. Have a set of requirements to fulfil. Don't expect to see the cash until you reach at least 50 though.
Still better than Singaporeans though who are stuck waiting til 65 and may need to wait longer in the future.
