Starting salary in Singapore for Audit is SGD3000. For your level, easily above 4k.

Even in Big4, not everyone is offering $3k, though rumours have been circulating around that for this year new batch they are offering close to that amount. Definitely way less if you include mid-tier in the discussion.

For the person asking about the market rate, pardon me for my confusion as I'm not too sure whether he meant that he has been working in a senior associate position for 1.5 years now, or he has been working in the big4 for 1.5 years starting as fresh and is now currently a senior associate? There is quite a huge difference between that, in terms of the position he could get and obviously the salary.

Oh really? Well, I guess that's possible. My friend who is a fresh graduate was offered 3k. Additionally, there seems to be a rising demand for accountants in Sg currently. This is all hearsay of course.

If you include the employer portion for CPF, then yes at current market rate you will get 3k after adding in that portion, which comes up to about 15.5% atm.

last year friend got 2.8k, probably this year they pushed it up. but i would say not all audit firms pay that amount, probably only so called big 4 or only pwc since their requirements are higher. other smaller firms i know pay 200-400 less.

range i would say 2.5k to 3.2k for audit. now that they are going to raise the salary threshold, we shall see what's the consequences
accountants yes, but dont mix up auditors with accountants.

fresh grad yes, but what qualifications?
*
Actually you will be surprised, KP pays the highest among the big4 here. At first year associate level with current market rate prior to any rumoured revision, KP pays about $200 more than the other big4, difference is even higher at senior associate level. Mid-tier pays around $2.3-2.4k, but minus the employer CPF and you will usually get bonded.

soree for the confusion pal, i has worked 1.5years starting from fresh and currently promoted to senior associates level...so any clue regarding the salary range? thanks btw
*
The current range for a first year senior associate in Big4 is about $3.8 to $4.2ish, depending on the firm. However, given that you only have 18 months of experience, depending on the time you join the firm in SG, chances are you will quite likely be demoted back to second year associate, or even if you're lucky to retain your first year senior associate position it is likely that you will be held back from the next promotion.

anyone have information about salary range for audit firms in SG? not big4. only 2nd tier, 3rd tier or even SME.
*
For fresh grads in mid-tier firms (e.g BDO, RSM, Howarth etc), salary range around $2.2k - $2.4k.

then i would expect even lower if i were to join 3rd-tier like Alliance or Russell Bedford

Hmm honestly I have no idea how much those small local firms are paying though, but I wouldn't be surprised if they are paying like $2k or less. Why would you only set your target at those small firms? Mid-tier firms shouldn't be too hard to join if you have a proper tertiary education (degree/acca) I reckon.

Same sh*t in work, different currency, more demanding bosses and tighter deadlines (depends), nicer building perhaps?

Oh forgot to mention, you will prolly see many of your ex-seniors from KL in EY SG as well.
