surprised at how low singapore income taxes are. 100k sing is 5.6k in taxes ... 100k rm is 14k in tax. not exactly an apples-to-apples cos i think m'sia has more deductables and relief, but still.

@Erny Errol, why don't u rent Sengkang or Punggol? Where u stay? Im currently staying sengkang but moving to Punggol soon. I like these area, not very noisy & new HDB very clean

ALL my outstation classmates at Taylor's College were depressed, in that's the definition of depression. All of us were not from KL, just finished SPM, never been away from home before... suddenly have to rent a little room (a couple of us even did a Harry Potter ie. rented the utility cupboard underneath the staircase), cook/buy our own meals, find our own way to school, manage our own budget, organise our own lives etc... basically take care of ourselves.

That my friend, is called growing up.
