Some company that implements this eventhough its abit of a boom session in singapore. Or more accurately last year but im still seeing the effects of last years unprecedented growth rate.

Looks like someone screwed up managing the company or their just really stingy.

A little bit of rush, but I die die wanna try it, good deal. PMed you ade.  tongue.gif
My company do practice MVC and AVC, but in different method. Ours is increment on top of our basic salary, more like a bonus.

MVC based on team performance and AVC based on individual performance.
Monthly would be MVC and yearly is AVC.

For last month, we got 12% MVC.

Watz da diff between MVC n AVC?
When these 2 happen, hw wud it affect us? unsure.gif
Will our salary get adjusted? unsure.gif

Added on April 12, 2011, 10:36 amHi guys,

I was fillin up da Sform, i'm concerned if i did it incorrectly. sad.gif
N i hv doubts on da followin, can any1 assist? notworthy.gif

5A: Education Details - Period of study
I do not remember the exact date, am i supposed to put 1st of the month?

PART 7 – APPLICANT’S EMPLOYMENT DETAILS - Period (DD-MM-YYYY)
As it's stated clearly, Period (DD-MM-YYYY) is required. But some of the part time jobs, i may not remember the exact date i started.
Would that be a problem if i just put the year and month?

Trust me. You NEED to socialise with your colleagues. You don't have to be their best friend and babysit their kids etc, but you have to develop rapport and a sense of ease when dealing with each other.

Lunch is the easiest way to do so.

Besides, even in Orchard Road, you can get away with a $5 lunch at the food courts.
*
Yeah,i agreed. I knw v hvta blend in sumtimes. But if go out lunch wiv them everyday, wow...i'l be broke in no time! Wat if they eat xpensive,hw? cry.gif They r Sporean,n m Msian. sad.gif

I don't see much difference between Singaporeans and Malaysians when it comes to weekday lunch. If you and your colleagues are all earning roughly the same salary, I don't see how they can afford something but you can't. Unless the managers or higher paid guys always decide where the group goes for lunch, I don't see an issue.

U r right. laugh.gif
But perhaps sum of them stayin wiv parents or sumthin, they dun nid to pay rental n etc.Lolx tongue.gif

Based on my experience, my Singaporean colleague is more stingy than me, don't even order drinks when go for lunch, I look like the richest among them by ordering 1 kopi-o. That was 2 years back though.

Hven start workin thr yet, but soon, wil find out. But for me,m those can skip lunch type. I dun mind skippin on food for da sake of savin!  laugh.gif

for me, one month 400sgd is enough for food and transport. Average one day spending = 10 to 12 sgd per day for 2 meal. the rest for transport.
*
OMG!R u kiddin me?!400sgd for both food n transport?!Cant be dat cheap right? shocking.gif
U muz be stayin nearby ur ofiz? hmm.gif
Say 12sgd 1day for food...12 x 30 = 360 loh...u oni spend 40sgd for transport?!! shocking.gif

My rough estimation is food - 500 or 600sgd, transport - 300sgd. << Was thnkin, if datz da case,i cant be savin much d. cry.gif
M xpectin da worst anyways.

QUOTE(seantang @ Apr 17 2011, 01:08 PM)
Take it from someone who's been living outside since SPM. Don.t be stingy on food. Allocate $20 a day for meals. That's only $600 per month. If you spend it all, good.. If you don't great. But don't limit yourself to such a low budget like $3 per meal unless it company subsidised meals or worse still, reduce food budget to pay for booze, fags or girls. That's the stupidest thing you can do.

Don't be afraid tp use a bit more of your salary on good, nutricious food. Your salary will ALWAYS increase and the % you spend on food will fall. But if you screw up your health... get an ulcer or some sort of nutritional deficiency, it will haunt you for life. Especially so at this stage when you're coming into the working world and at the same time moving to another country away from everything that's familiar. Your body is under a lot of stress.

And if you believe in nutritional supplements, spend a dollar a day to get a bottle of Pharmaton capsules or something similar. There are a lot of required nutrients that a constant diet of economy rice cannot provide.
*
Hi,

Thnx for ur valuable feebck. notworthy.gif wink.gif
I stil thnk $600 is abit too much,i wil try to lessen it. Actuali i got 2 purposes la...i wanna save + diet mer...Datz y i dun spend much on food. Over here,i skip lunch,i make milo in ofiz.

Your salary will ALWAYS increase << Well, datz pretty much depends on da co, most of them wont hv increment afta probation?Unless u jump to anotha co wiv a high salary la...

work permit is just a normal working permit. not much benefits, if u wanna apply a Singapore phone line, u need to pay deposit $200. if u wanna buy an iPhone plan, need to pay $800 deposit. S pass and E pass got not much difference. u can sign up phone line like any Singaporean and PR. but E pass u can apply for dependent pass, S pass can't.

POSB does not offer their Go! debit card for not epass holder.
Citibank requires 3.5k monthly, which would mean mostly an epass.
But I noticed ppl saying standard chartered has the lowest requirement, not sure how low.  laugh.gif  laugh.gif

For Citibank, written thr >> minimum annual income of S$30,000 << but dis is for PR or Sporean oni laaaaaa...

i heard OCBC can get CC even u are not a PR or Singaporean with 30k income. regarding the medical check, normally company HR will give u a company letter to go to specific clinic to do those check. regarding debit card, i got no issue getting a DBS debit card with a S pass. annual income also less than 30k. and regarding the dependent pass, some people wants to bring their wife/children down together, so only e pass can apply a dependent pass for them. and the number of dependent pass you can apply depends on what type of e pass u are taking.

Oh...Epass oso got few types?? unsure.gif
