It has to be illegal. I'm pretty sure you need a sg license to drive a sg car

if there's any gathering....count me in!

By the way, anyone planning to drive back to KL on 29th of April and returning to SG on 2nd of May? I really don't mind paying for the transport cost.

If you're ok with it, I'm in. Will pm you my contact details if you agree.

I will just have to buy a bus ticket back on 2nd of May....not really a big issue.

aiya, i poor ppl la, i drive myvi only. ya, citysquare is the shopping complex next to the JB sentral and kastam complex. normally, 1 way from JB-KL use almost 1 tank petrol and RM40++ toll. so its around RM100 1 way.
*
just PM me and bunny on how you're going to divide the transport cost. You're definitely not going to ferry us for free lol.

PM sent. Don't worry. I also drive around the same speed most of the time. As long as you're an alert driver, high speed doesn't really matter to me lol.

If you're tired, I can double up as a backup driver haha.

This is a very very stupid idea. when you say drive, i assume that u are driving a Malaysian car? since u say smth about sticker etc etc.
Just for your information, for a Malaysian car that enter Singapore during 2am-5pm (no matter u leave or enter Singapore as long as u are within that period), you need to pay 20 SGD VEP (Vehicle entry Permit) daily. Not only that, the toll on the 2nd link is gonna kill you as well. RM7.50 and $3.20 1 way. so 1 day u are paying 20SGD + 3.2 SGD + 3.2 SGD + RM7.50 + RM7.50 = 26.4 SGD + RM15. This is on a daily basis. With those money, its much better to rent a place in Jurong it self. save traveling time and also better security.
*
I still think it is feasible to stay in gelang patah/bukit indah area and ride a bike to sg every day. The toll rate for bike is still quite cheap for 2nd link.

My HR dept has just announced that all staff will be given a one day off in-lieu due to SG polling day. Now I have 1 day paid leave to be used within the month of May.

I'm thinking of putting the 1 day leave on 16/5 to join with Vesak day 17/5 and weekends. Woohoo!!!!4 straight days of holiday!!!! rclxm9.gif

Oh sheetzzzzz.....I forgot the fact that bus ticket back on 13/5 will be difficult to buy...if not pricey. Anyone so happen driving back on that day? icon_question.gif

how about nokia? still going home?

any bus from customs or city square near customs going to 1u?
I booked a bus ticket bound for Berjaya Times Square KL this friday night. I think it is still not too late to book if you want coz I saw many empty seats when I was booking online yesterday. I paid SGD65 for both way.

It feels kinda weird coz I was back in KL just last week. On top of that, I'm going back this Wesak day too. sweat.gif

Short question.....

I'm bringing in 1 unit of brand new Ipad2 from Jb tomorrow. Will I be taxed? I'm travelling by bus.

Can I just take it out of the box and pretend it to be a used unit? Perhaps I can avoid tax this way.

Please advise brothers

I'm in. Just to let you guys know I'm allergic to many kinds of seafood but I believe there are some non-seafood dishes in that restaurant.
