My company do practice MVC and AVC, but in different method. Ours is increment on top of our basic salary, more like a bonus.not to worry... they seldom deduct your pay... =) MVC based on team performance and AVC based on individual performance. Monthly would be MVC and yearly is AVC. For last month, we got 12% MVC. This post has been edited by Joshua_0718: Apr 12 2011, 08:48 AM |

I would like to clarify on the Life Insurance tax relief. Anyone done it before? I have sent it to IRAS waiting for their reply.
Any idea which are the correct one? - Claim 7% of capital sum insured / actual premium paid (whichever lesser) for life insurance if policy was bought in your name or your wife’s name. Premiums paid for insurance policy on your child’s life are not allowable. In the quick guide, it mentioned the above. - The amount of relief you may claim must not be more than 7% of the insured value of your life or your wife's life. When filling, in the guide information, it shows the above, not the amount premium paid or whichever lesser. |

QUOTE(tailtwist @ Apr 12 2011, 05:02 PM) y go for wired? the wireless 3G would be a better option for me...since its mobile i can take it a longer everywhere i go If one were to go for mobile broadband, do consider Starhub and Singtel. For M1, really a big disappointment so far also if u r going for wired broadband...u will 1st require written permission from the landlord(if the landlord doesnt already have 1) to have a broadband connection installed. For the charges depends on the package n that you're taking. Do a search for these local service providers....its all on their website m1 starhub singtel |

QUOTE(Walaoeh! @ Apr 12 2011, 05:12 PM) depends on which area, in my place and some offices, M1 speed is much faster and stable than Starhub. Yeah. But let's not talk about speed, what about constant connection and no dropout of connection?Added on April 12, 2011, 5:15 pm QUOTE(mea05key @ Apr 12 2011, 05:08 PM) 3G mobile broadband? So far, Starhub does not fail me at any place. Jurong, Woodlands, Tampines, Kallang, CBD. Did not try at potong pasir thou |

QUOTE(tailtwist @ May 5 2011, 07:40 AM) As in the electronic cleareance? EP holders no longer need to apply the access card for electronic clearance. EP holders can go to the fast lane for eletronic clearance by using their passport. for EP holders u wont need to fill up that white card everytime u enter Singapore....Else u will still need to go thru the normal Q...unless u apply for another card that's specifically for eletronic cleareance Not applicable to S pass and work permit holder. They still need to apply the access card if they want electronic clearance. This post has been edited by Joshua_0718: May 5 2011, 08:59 AM |

QUOTE(tailtwist @ May 5 2011, 08:58 AM) R u certain?...because my GF who still holds EP still needs to go thru the normal Q. When we ask the immigration officer, the officer replied that she'll need to go thru the normal Q...can't go for the electronic cleareance Yes! I am very sure. I am access card holder and wanted to go for card replacement. The officer said no need and I can use my passport for automated clearance. I tried it and it works! No joke. But if you renew your passport, you need to update your passport first then. |
