Qualify does not mean you will get it.
A lot of ppl qualify as PR but still did not get it.
2.2 is S-pass as mentioned.
The pass is more towards salary based.
You want an e-pass, demand higher pay or just suck up and accept and improve yourself to qualify for a better pay.
*
not really, i have a lot of friends getting more than 2.5k salary still holding S pass.
my aunty getting more than 2.5k salary also but only holding WP. how do you explain?
i would say it would be base on qualification. coz most of those S pass holder doesn't have a degree and my aunty only SPM.

$400 nowadays is almost impossible to get a room. even in the outskirt like Woodlands and Pasir Ris, the rooms are going for around $500.

But if u change other job / renew your EP,
then u need to wait for another 1 year so that u can drive SG registered car?
*
yesterday is horrible. we was having a gathering and i bought movie tickets for 1:30pm. we reach causeway at 11:50am like that.
we only manage to cross the immigration at 1:30pm, wasted the movie tickets. btw I am driving.
I would suggest u all not to go JB or back to MY this month. The Jam is crazy, unless u willing to stand 1 hour + on the 170 bus, then its ok.

Hi,
I will be working at Wilkie Edge, and it is within walking distance from Dhoby Ghaut. Therefore, Punggol and Sengkang area would be slightly too off for me.

Yup, I'm looking into Boon Keng, but whenever I google Boon Keng room for rent, it'll lead me to Kallang =.='''
*
For me, i like Red and Green line MRT as compare to Circle or Purple line. Red and Green line MRT is bigger and their air-cond is much cooler.
the down side is, green and red line is always pack like sardine. But even when u sardine, u can still feel the air-cond nicely.
If i were you I might stay in Toa Payoh (hear ppl say a lot good food) or Ang Mo Kio (I love this neighborhood, very complete and have everything we need) area.

Which telco are you going to switch to?
I am tinking of using Starhub.

anyone got any comments?
Currently stays in Admiralty.
Might move to Buona Vista/ Holland Village area, probably.

Anyone staying Admiralty / Buona Vista nearby area with Starhub 3G data plan?
How is the signal?
*
Good luck if u plan to use StarHub. I am using it. If u make a call in Yio Chu Kang MRT and travel trough to Sembawang MRT. the call will get disconnected 4 times.
I tried it numerous times, it always happen. Their 3G also not very good as well. I will switch Singtel when my contract end. Their coverage is the best although its pricey.

Precisely. That's why i said what's "everthing" to you isn't "everything" to everyone else. U need to know yr what's important to you. And constantly build on that foundation. Otherwise yr out sooner than u came in. Which ties back to my initial comment that people with WP are rubbish. They should really learn to improve themselves. Instead of wasting time arguing with me
*
Hi Mr EP, we have a gathering tonight at 7pm. wanna join us? but other forumers are not like u, calling people rubbish.
They support and provide guidance on how to advance, not humiliate them like u. Would you stop your WP are rubbish thing now?
nobody wants to know how you think and we never ask u about it at all. please keep it to yourself and stop humiliating the others.

Then stop replying.
I'm not humiliating just stating facts.
I think most people (deep down inside) already know what they should do to improve themselves. They only lack a certain "push" factor. Think of my comments as a push factor then.
*
you know what, when you say that that is fact, its already humiliating.

This is call rubbish

user posted image

and this is worker permit worker

user posted image

which part of them look identical? People are working hard to support their family like what ricky said.
just because you were born in a better family and you call people like that?
Please learn to respect others so others will respect you as well.

And without work permit holders, there is no nid for any EP holder here.
This theory applies to all industry, because without the workers, who will the managers manage?

but the unwritten rules is your car can be in the country for 1 week.

this rules is same like the ciggy rule. book says not even a single stick is allow.
but the unwritten rules says 1 opened pack.

It will end on 24 July. Info from: http://livinginsingaporetoday.com/

Anyone know how much is the max amount of cash we can bring in to Malaysia, or bring out of Singapore? I heard is 3K?
*
Singapore immigration. u need to declare if u are carrying more than 30k SGD
Malaysia Immigration. u need to declare if u are carrying more than 10k USD

your question doesn't make sense. I can carry 100000000zillion into Malaysia or SG in cash as long as i can declare where they come from.

haha.. tkz but I have been checking and viewing and reading the MOM website on the TEP for hundreds of times..
But there are certain things not mentioned in the website,
such as the education details that I asked previously.
In MOM website, they didnt teach on how to fill in the certain sections.
So have to ask whoever that has experience in applying passes..
*
the specialization and major just put science, i only study till STPM, and when i apply for my work permit, i just fill science on both of them and it got approved.
then under university, put SMK XXXXXX can d.

I am not familiar with WP. Personally I am ok with holding WP as I am not going for PR at this moment yet but anything I need to note here? anything different from S/EP? like renting a room or subscribe for internet etc?
*
nothing wrong with holding WP for me, but Mercury will call u rubbish just because u hold WP tongue.gif

Btw, anybody working in M&E field here? Can be friend o.. XD
*
My aunty stays in Sin Ming Ave, there are a few HDB block there. but tell u 1 thing la, 1 common room is $600 there. I also dunno why its that expensive. That place got no MRT, need to transfer bus to Bishan MRT station. but thats the price around there.

1) take a bus from Johor bahru Larkin terminal. one way trip is only rm30+
2) I find airasia to be the cheapest but you have to book at least 6 months in advance for it to be an economical option.
3) some forumers here drive back to kl once in awhile but not every week. You still need to compensate their petrol cost. It will come up to about the same as bus ticket in the end.
*
its actually not, its more expensive than bus even we divide 4 person. JB to KL its RM41.30 1 way toll money, 1 tank petrol RM60. so 2 way will be RM200+, that haven include service car and change tyre money. the benefits is its fast if drive. from 5 hours bus journey, it can cut down to 3 hours.
So even faster than plane i would say.
