I think you are referring to cooling day. Purpose is forthe voters to have a clear state of mind before voting. Political pRities should be in a dormant state for one day. Thus, it think it is still a normal working day.

QUOTE(seantang @ Apr 20 2011, 10:17 PM) My decision was a no brainer. Stay in KL, I can buy a nice house in PJ and a little sports car but I would be burdened by the loans practically until I retire. Come to Singapore and work for 10 years, I can go back to PJ, pay cash for that house and car, and then continue working with no loan commitments and total financial freedom. So how many years to go? and how much do you think your average PJ house will cost in ten years' time?

My HR dept has just announced that all staff will be given a one day off in-lieu due to SG polling day. Now I have 1 day paid leave to be used within the month of May. I'm thinking of putting the 1 day leave on 16/5 to join with Vesak day 17/5 and weekends. Woohoo!!!!4 straight days of holiday!!!! Oh sheetzzzzz.....I forgot the fact that bus ticket back on 13/5 will be difficult to buy...if not pricey. Anyone so happen driving back on that day?

Thanks to the fact that Singapore has much more opportunities, I actually reached my original target last year (after 5 years in SG). But staying on because like all people, you get greedier. Now eyeing something around KLCC instead of PJ. Also want to get a condo in Singapore.

POSB does not offer their Go! debit card for not epass holder. Citibank requires 3.5k monthly, which would mean mostly an epass. But I noticed ppl saying standard chartered has the lowest requirement, not sure how low. stanchart offer it at 30k p.a. lor QUOTE(Semper Fi @ Apr 21 2011, 11:00 AM) Oh...Epass oso got few types?? For me, i use starhub, reload using happy 128. i can hardly finish the credit in one month.
