the pao Xiang in utama is one of the many branch, they have in pavilion kl and centro klang, indeed is one of my top 10. nex one is a 80 percent similiar but i think to suit local taste the herb taste lesser.
some of the best klang bkt actually dun come in claypot.

QUOTE(deodorant @ Jun 16 2011, 11:25 AM)
Soo Kee? I ate there a while back and thought the noodles just so-so only. Might as well just eat at the Geylang one, taste better.

user posted image
yeah i heard that too. but i didn't grow up in KL so I only last couple of years when working in KL then only go klang eat bkt, so I got no way to compare how good it was last time.
*
thanks, yes it is soo kee and the next door one keong kee (at imbi)
where there have another version of the sang har mee (spicy one)
geylang one eat almost every alternate day and paying sgd painful

BKT is tough subject, one need to appreciate the diversity of Klang can offer, sometime u feel want to eat thick soup (thick like black sauce, super hard core one), sometime u felt want to have claypot with lot of soup, sometime u want dry. No one is really the best, just wat u want to have on that day or moment. Each store have their specialty, some store dun have dry, some can tailor made mix this mix that, my saliva dripping thinking of it.

Anyone of u plan to settle down in Singapore?

I m thinking to settle down here but the housing here is expensive. I can't buy a hdb bcos I have a property in Malaysia which is under development.

Need some guidances..
*
sure cannot meh ? i thought dun declare then there wont find out right.
i also planning lah but for example of a modest calculation, a 300k hdb with 80% loan = 60k dpayment + 10k cov = still need 70k upfront

my own strategy is to get the one with lowest COV, previously i was aiming all town area like tanjong pagar, bugis and china town, cause near to office, so i can go without a car, think think my strategy change cause the cov is so high i might as well get a car and have a bigger hdb further abit at jurong west / woodland
my vote goes to buy now, tomolo can be worse

dun think gov will let the hdb price go down, they can always control the supply and demand and hdb valuation, just hope COV will go down

Hi all forumers, I'm going to work in Singapore soon, I'm just wondering what will be the best sim card should i go for, postpaid or prepaid, which telco?

I would be using data for whatsapp and emails but I've checked and so far I could not find any prepaid plans that offer good value for both data and mobile phone. Postpaid wise, don't think I would wanna sign a contract yet? Is there any good plans whether prepaid or postpaid that is nice and recommended?
*
Some company have corporate plan with the telco. Check with your employer.
The discount sometime can be quite substantial, i hold 2 line, one from starhub and 1 from M1. Starhub give only around 20% off on my monthly bill, but the M1 is 60%, for both line i get a free iphone. M1 is unlimited data.

i can tell you that 10k isn't that much... when u earn 10k, u spend 10k... same goes to 100k... spend 100k...
most of ppl usually opts for better lifestyle and spend more as they can afford for more exp goods..

unless u can control it..
*
since u mention it.

Stay in ur rented room in JB every day and nite, except goin out to work.
Drive motorbike, or better still take bus for work.
Eat mix rice with only one meat one vege everyday, 2 times a day. Only eat in JB, not in SG. Tapau ur lunch or dinner (if u work late) from JB before work.
No tv, no aircon, no water heater, no internet, no po*rn (it still incur cost)and no entertainment. Ok, u can play with marble inside ur room.
Im sure u can save SGD9k every month!!!
A monk can do go thru that life, why not u..
*
I build a camp in the HDB car park, a car park near my office, can walk to work, wash myself in the the MRT toilet. search for leftover at hawker centre, tapau the leftover when i need to work late , yah i play with my marble and myself in the camp. I think i can save SGD 9.9k every month. A begger can go thru that life, i think i can also. smile.gif

thanks for sharing.

Coz I hardly come across rejected pass renewal cases.

I hate to agree with mercury8400 but it's true. A one page resume is good enough, at least that's what I submitted.

My hardcopy resume's a one-pager.

All it has is a list of my degrees, professional qualifications, last 5 jobs and no more than 5 bullet points about 'other skills' like languages, specific knowledge and experiences.

And when I describe my job, I don't write a long story. Title, duration, company and one sentence on the scope of what I do (eg. I am the "xxx role/process owner/decisionmaker" at US$xxx million/billion revenue business).

Seantang,
No point spoon feeding these people. You've already made it as clear as clear can be.
These people are typical attitude M'sian. Expect everthing to be handed to them on a silver platter. The world dosen't work that way.
*
fren what with the personal attack ?
if dun want to share i can accept,no need to con this and that Malaysian attitude. I ask humbly and friendly.
U can even ignore me totally, what with the insecurity ?

QUOTE(francisbacon7 @ Jun 28 2011, 06:11 PM)
hi...I have applied many Singapore companies by jobstreet, jobdbs, and company web site..

My experience and qualification also okey.

but there is no call for interview at all? what is my problem?

Do we need a referrer who is Singaporean?
*
my experience on the other side of the recipient, the employer side looking at what they receive then you will know how tough it is.
my experience with jobstreet system (SIVA) sometime back is that, they will list the nearest match to employer listed requirement , like grad, salary and experience
the nearest match will be at top, so if u a fresh grad without experience u be below the list. For a manager / avp post is a 70-100 daily application, lowest i seen is 50 sweat.gif .

the problem is u have tonnes of related / unrelated people applying, some who want to change industries, some with great passion but no paper, everybody have different motivation, and the list go on .. ,not easy to digest everybody cv.. some just got ignore, decided later leave it to the Headhunter to do it, too time consuming.

suggest u can try to use linkedin to try to network to the co u want to work with, know some Headhunter search their candidate there. rolleyes.gif
