So meaning to say the best way for my next steps are;

1. Go to Spore for medical check up & signing of offer letter
2. Rcvd med check up result, all ok then employer will apply permit for me.
3. Wait for MOM result, once confirmed approved then I sent my resignation letter to my current employer.
4. Move to Spore, start working with the new employer using the white card, then settle the remaining procedures with MOM.

Is this is correct/best steps?

1) Married and have kids without having a maid.

Guys quick ques about cellphones. Malaysia you can convert a prepaid line to postpaid and keep same number. Singapore telcos also same? Any recommendation for provider? Will be in temporary accomodation for a couple of weeks.

AS per my info 1.5 years ago.. generally prepaid for Singtel is non convertible at all.. you don't get to retain your no.

also ... any comment on following housing areas: tampines, pasir ris, bedok? tampines/pasir ris seems to be similar pricing at sgd 2.2-2.6k for 1xxx sq ft HDB. Bedok seems way more exp at sgd 2+k for 600-700 sq ft apt - but company got feeder bus direct from bedok mrt to office.

For west Malaysia, it wont help much, but for east Malaysia, it does help alot.

Malaysian's PR is more valuable than in S'poor. you can buy S'poor with 2mil but in Malaysia, I don't think so

Any recommendations of places to rent that can suit both my sister (Changi) and I (Serangoon north Ave)?

A friend suggested Tampines or Simei. Is it a good idea?

The only reason SG gave us a chance is because no Singaporean are willing to take up the job. M'sian to them are cheap labour readily to be exploited citing "Singapore currency stronger mar!" on why they can't match yr expected salary. Oh not forgeting " No singapore experience but with Malaysian expereince? We don't recognise M'sian expereince". Yeah right?!

It's getting there. Just tried the new Yuyi outlet in Heeren. It's a Chinese food place that serves fried rice, fried noodles etc... they've got robot woks. A couple of employees just pour in the pre-packed ingredients and press a button and the machine does the frying.

one thing i note is that the guys in this thread get worked up very easily. they should spend more time in /k/ to improve their troll radar and resistance, haha!

[edit] ok help me with this instead. example a property listing that says "near mrt and amenities. newly renovated. master room locked." how to interpret this? that i will rent the entire unit *except* the master room that the owner will keep for his own use?
