look, work in singapoor and let them look down on you as a malaysian forever, afterall you're just a singpooren wanna-be to them

Tell that to the thousands of Malaysians (including the ones in this thread) who have built successful careers and businesses in Singapore.

If you have nothing constructive to say besides spouting lies and tall tales about Singapore, it is best to keep your trap shut.

try look for 1000 employees from Malaysia and see what they'd tell you if you ask them this

How's life in Singapoor, any discrimination?

Shame on you folk, lies and tales? that's the fact that you have to accept, don't blind yourself with seng dollar got me?

Try asking the forummers in this thread and ask them what they think of working in Singapore before you mouth off more BS here! Your LIES don't work here.

Sgd dollars and a MERITOCRATIC society is why Singapore has several hundred thousand Malaysians there.

RM and a DISCRIMINATORY society is why these hundreds of thousands of Malaysians (and more to come) have moved out of bolehland and settled in Singapore.

Hence, life is much better for them compared to bolehland.

Ya, I know he's trolling but it's good to smack these trolls for entertainment once in awhile. laugh.gif

He's probably some ketuanan melayu d***head who's jealous of all the Singapore dollars that the forummers in this thread are earning!

Its actually none of my business. As they say, it takes 2 hands to clap. So one guy is giving the "under table Money" and another fella is the willing recipient of said money. It boils down to that individuals integrity or lack thereof.

There are quite a number of these cases, you just dont know about it since its kept in the down low so to speak.

At least now my former colleague can go freelance since he has his PR and isnt tied to his current company.

I find your notion that there are quite a number of these cases to be unbelievable. My two decades of experience in working with Singapore individuals and companies certainly is in direct contrast to your allegation.

Contrast that with Malaysia where the "number of cases" is the NORM rather than the exception.

I suppose you just havent met the "other" side of singapore. Any who, my former colleague just tended in his resignation and is looking for a new job since he's not tied down to a work permit system.

A few months back i posted pictures of a work shop in singapore which proves otherwise, in terms of safety and even environmental protocols its hard to believe the NEA never investigated the place and banned that workshop from operating, from what i heard, the proprietor paid a substantial sum to escape being shutdown and was let off with a warning and so far there hasnt been any follow up and he's still operating.

I have worked with folks from "all" sides in Singapore (for lack of a better definition) and you are highlighting exceptions.

Naturally, exceptions in Singapore are the norm and part of the unshakable rules of engagement in Malaysia.

Did you guys read today's MyPaper stating that NTUC to be more pro-Singaporean?  The content mentioned that they will hire more White collar (I guess WP and EP) Singaporean.  Seems that the opportunity to find another job is greatly reduced eh.
*
Govt departments/ ministries and GLCs have always been more inclined to hiring Singaporeans first before foreigners. With the current voter backlash, the PAP govt would do so even more than in the past.

By and large, the private sector doesn't have such "national duties" to fulfill.
