hi all,
just want to ask, is that ok if we install 32bit av on 64bit OS (windows)?
i just google a bit and found some say ok, some say sufficient, some say not ok, etc...
basically 32bit software can be installed and run on 64bit OS, but in case of av, is that safe if we just make sure it can run? how about the real time protection? is there any leak of protection?

tq

If you are talking about Windows 7 then you can install both 32bits and 64bits softwares. As long as your AV supporting the windows in the requirements then it shouldn't be a problem.

For any program with shell access, it must be running native 64 bit to work on 64 bit OS. Antivirus, is likely requiring 64 bit version to run on 64 bit OS.
