I've purchased the 2011 KIS and I'm wondering if I install it now, then some time in the future I reformat my lappie, after that will the license key remain valid?
Or it works 1-time-only which simply means once I reformat I've to purchase a new key? Do enlighten me |

You bought 1 PC or 3 PCs version?
Anyway, just to let you know my experience. I am using 3 PCs version. Last time before I format my computer, I did back up as instructed in Kaspersky help menu. But after formatting my computer and during KIS installation, KIS asked for the key and I put in. And everything settled, same key, same expiry date. My advice, better back up the key first.  |

i already done reformat my pc and reinstall KIS2011
should be no problem. just repeat activating procedure and you're done the remaining license period will continue |

Thanks for this thread. I'm planning for a reformat in near future. Worry about the same thing as well.

Googled. By following the guide in Kaspersky website, I am required to back up the Anti Spam database, which is antispam.sfdb. However, I could not find it at all in my computer. May I know is this really crucial?

is there any other step to be taken when reinstall os? ive re format my laptop and when try to reactivate my kis 2011, it said i have exceeded the number of user. btw, my kis2011 is for 3pc.tq
