hi sifu here, have a question regarding water quality.
I planned to install water pump and is replacing all piping in the house.
The contractor intended to source all outlet from tank since there is a pump for high pressure.
But someone told me that it is not recommended to use tank water as drinking water and better to use the direct fresh water from outside. Is this true????
Thank you
I guess the reason is tank water may be stagnant too long, sometimes also got rat, lizard died inside, all kind of debris especially if the tank has been used for long time.I planned to install water pump and is replacing all piping in the house.

Some may be rusty as well.
For drinking water, it is always best to use filter, disregard it is fresh from water pipe or from tank.
Fresh water may have lot of dirt as well, and fresh water may come from old piping that is rusty as well.
