hi sifu here, have a question regarding water quality.
I planned to install water pump and is replacing all piping in the house. The contractor intended to source all outlet from tank since there is a pump for high pressure.
But someone told me that it is not recommended to use tank water as drinking water and better to use the direct fresh water from outside. Is this true????
I guess the reason is tank water may be stagnant too long, sometimes also got rat, lizard died inside, all kind of debris especially if the tank has been used for long time. Some may be rusty as well.
For drinking water, it is always best to use filter, disregard it is fresh from water pipe or from tank. Fresh water may have lot of dirt as well, and fresh water may come from old piping that is rusty as well.
ya, that's what i afraid as well. stagnant too long maybe harmful with bacteria grown inside.
will ask contractor to get me water from main pipe in the kitchen just for drinking water use.
If you are staying in a bungalow or big house with 7 or more bathrooms. The more bathrooms = more water usage = u need a bigger pump. However, the bigger the pump = the higher the risk of pipe burst. So if u are worried about this, can consider getting INVERTER water pump.
Grundfos CMBE5-62 will automatically adjust the pressure and speed up when there is more demand for water. Instead of buying 1 big pump that always go FULL SPEED given too much stress on the pipes, get inverter pump, it supplies the perfect water pressure based on demand.
